Xpres launches dual-platen pneumatic heat press

pres has launched the HPD Dual Pneumatic Heat Press, a 40x50cm dual-platen system designed to help garment decorators increase productivity by reducing downtime between pressing cycles.
The press features a manual sliding heat element, allowing one platen to be pressed while the operator loads the second. This enables a continuous workfl ow of loading, pressing and unloading, reducing idle time and helping businesses increase output. Designed for busy production environments, the HPD Dual features
a Tefl on-coated heat plate for even heat distribution, digital touchscreen controls for repeatable time and temperature settings, and positioning lasers to assist with accurate garment placement.
Pneumatic pressure adjustment allows operators to maintain consistent pressure across jobs, while safety features include a heat-element guard, emergency stop and anti-scald plate cover. An increased plate-to-base gap is designed to simplify loading awkward garments, while optional quick-change
IPIA invites print industry to rediscover its value at annual conference

he Independent Print Industries Association (IPIA) invited print businesses to explore new ways of demonstrating and capturing their value at its Annual Conference on August 27. Held at the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry, this year’s event’s theme Print to Performance – Unlocking our Industry’s True Potential, focused on competitiveness, changing markets and sustainable growth.
The conference brought together print industry leaders, economists, marketing specialists, academics and technology experts, with keynote presentations, panel discussions, interviews and practical case studies examining the commercial and

technological forces shaping the sector. The event also featured an Expo and Networking Hub, giving delegates the opportunity to explore new technologies, media and services while connecting with suppliers and other businesses across the print supply chain.
Natalie Evans, associate general manager of the IPIA, said: “We wanted people to leave the Conference feeling energised, but also equipped.
“The real measure of a successful event is both the conversations people have on the day – as well as the ideas, confi dence and practical actions they take back into their businesses afterwards. That has really shaped the programme this year.”
Soyang’s new paper-based DTF film S
oyang Europe has expanded its direct to fi lm (DTF) range with Soyang DTF Paper, a paper-based alternative to conventional PET transfer fi lm designed to help garment decorators reduce plastic waste.
The single-sided, release-coated transfer paper features anti-static treatment and hot-peel release technology. Designed for DTF printers using water-based pigment inks, it can be recycled through standard paper waste streams while maintaining print quality and transfer performance. The Oeko-Tex certifi ed media is intended to integrate into existing DTF production workfl ows without requiring changes to equipment or processes. Available in 60cmx100m rolls, it is suitable for personalised garments, workwear, sportswear and promotional clothing.
