Focus on Embroidery WILCOM Simple tips for decision-making C

hoosing an embroidery software suite can seem complicated, but these simple tips provided by Wilcom will speed up your decision-making process.

● Bundled isnʼt necessarily best Just because your equipment vendor sells a suite, doesnʼt mean itʼs the only software for your machine or the best available. Evaluate on fit and function, not on package deals. Professional software like EmbroideryStudio e4 from Wilcom can create files for any machine.

● Make it modular Choose the right software for your needs GS UK

Poly Flash – a hybrid among polyester threads

The ability to add features gradually makes software affordable without sacrificing eventual functionality. Every shop needs lettering and editing. Those starting to digitise whether simple or advanced, may add specialty tools to simplify tasks and add effects.

BARUDAN Making your life easier

● Get features that fit your model Automated team naming massively increases efficiency for team sports shops. Fashion decorators benefit from multimedia embroidery tools like rhinestone and custom sequin design. Stores specialising in personalisation need a lettering system with quality fonts and monogramming capabilities and/or a kiosk mode. Know your market and choose tools that serve it.

● Efficiency is everything Skilled digitisers can make masterpieces with any level of software, but the best suite will make the process efficient. Moreover, features like design cataloging, production information storage, and easy mockup creation make every stage of your jobs faster and more profitable.

The K series automat is user-friendly Combining polyester, viscose and metal in a single thread P

oly Flash is the latest thread available from GS UK, which offers an exciting new look to textile surface design. As a leading supplier for all embroidery related materials, GS UK

offers innovative, high-quality products ranging from Gunold threads and backings through to fabrics, needles and scissors. The name of Gunold holds a key role in the embroidery industry, continuously expanding its state-of-the-art range of products. Poly Flash combines the properties and look of polyester, viscose and metal in a single thread and is the result of innovative manufacturing. It has a number of similar properties to Gunoldʼs Poly thread, for example it is as strong as Poly and also as resistant to chlorine. However it also has a silky soft shine more typical of viscose/rayon thread and a shimmering sheen similar to that of metallic thread. Poly Flash when embroidered is shiny metallic, hammered or frosted rather than high gloss, producing a classic vintage style. This specialty thread is very skin-friendly, easy to work with and a new addition to the existing Gunold thread range supplied by GS UK via its webshop. Poly Flash is available in 23 different colours on 1000m Mini King cones.
