Start 2 Print lands major deals S
Promotion LIVE! in January, Start 2 Print has signed a number of major deals with leading companies. In February, the company became a Sublisplash Ink dealer in the UK. The German company owned by Print Equipment De, has released some top quality ink that has been developed in Europe. The company approached the Start 2 Print team at P&P LIVE! and owner Steve Galbraith said they were impressed with what they had to offer. “We have ran various tests and havenʼt found an ink as of yet to match it. We used to stock the Sawgrass range but have now switched over fully. Itʼs really important to us that our customers have access to the best products available on the market,” Mr Galbraith explained.

Start 2 Print will concentrate primarily on the Studio Range as these offer excellent value for money. Start 2 Print will also be offering industrial grade machines and start up packages with the Beta and Omega ranges from Adkins.
“The interesting thing about the Adkins deal is that Iʼve been emailing them for a year or so now with no success, however once we had been to P&P LIVE! they actually contacted us and now we have managed to get a deal done that suited both parties. We are only the third authorised Adkins dealer in the UK, so itʼs quite a big achievement for us and it speaks volumes about our training and after sales support, we believe itʼs the best in the industry,” added Mr Galbraith. And finally in April, Start 2 Print added the Ghost white toner range to its offering, becoming the German companyʼs only UK authorised distributor.

astex International has moved from its Allentown, PA location into its recently completed manufacturing facility and headquarters in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA. President, Mark Vasilantone, said: “The new building is purpose-built for workflow efficiency with raw materials received in one bay, moving through metalworking, welding, finishing, electrical and assembly departments, with completed screen printing equipment loaded for shipment through three additional bays.” The facility also houses dedicated space for new product development, administrative offices, meeting/conference spaces, an equipment showroom and a large hands-on classroom area with a full complement of screen printing equipment for Vastex University, the companyʼs training programme for entry-level to professional screen printers. Mr Vasilantone added: “We had expanded the previous plant into adjacent spaces twice, and into a separate building to meet demand, but the new plant provides the layout as well as

the growing room to produce equipment significantly faster and more efficiently. “We purchased an 8.25 acre (3.34 hectare) site, and designed the new building with a break-out wall to expand our space when we again reach capacity.”
Founded in 1960, the family-owned business is now in its third generation and manufactures manual screen printing presses, athletic numbering attachments, infrared conveyor dryers, flash cure units, screen coaters, screen drying cabinets, screen exposing units, screen registration systems and utility equipment.

ro-Ad has welcomed the addition of Max Leo Nardini, who was born on Sunday, February 25 weighing 5lb 4oz.
He is the grandson of managing director Carlo Nardini and his parents Loren and Emily are over the moon with their new arrival.
The team has allowed a few months before Max processes his first enquiry and according to the team: "Max is by far the most gorgeous Nardini in Pro-Ad and definitely the least cranky one. We can't wait for lots of cuddles with him.”
n a deal signed on March 19, Spanish buyout houses Alantra Provate Equity and Magnum Industrial Partners acquired 88% of screen printing manufacturer Roq. Alantra and Magnum acquired their share of Roq from Portuguese buyout house Explorer Investments, which backed Roq in 2013. Each buyout house will hold 44% of the Portuguese business, with the management team retaining the remaining 12%.
The directive structure of Roq will be maintained, with Manuel Sá continuing in his role as CEO. Braga-based Roq
generates sales of around €54m, a 28% increase in three years, and employs 430 people.
Under the ownership of Alantra and Magnum, Roq intends to increase its presence in the growing DTG market.
