AMANN Group opens new sustainable and state-of-the art production site in India

MANN Group has opened its first production plant in Ranipet, India, marking the addition of the most sustainable facility in the group’s portfolio.


It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to protect the environment. In Ranipet, AMANN will produce sewing and embroidery threads of the highest quality for leather and apparel applications.


Peter Morgalla, chairman of AMANN India: said: “We are very proud to put this plant into operation today. We have closed the gap and are now able to offer our customers a comprehensive network of sales offices, delivery options and short lead times throughout Asia. Moreover, we will also provide technical advisory services for our customers to exploit the full potential of our products.” The investment into its new production site reflects on AMANN’s serious commitment towards the environment. The latest production technologies reduce the amount of


additional demand is supplied by a nearby wind and solar park. The boiler for steam production – important for the dyeing process of the threads – operates with biomass.

Screenworks gains GOTS accreditation
