Marketing team at FOL International continues to grow


T


he marketing team at FOL International continues to grow with new


appointments.


Bianca Akrapovic returns from parental leave and is now responsible for the brand Russell Europe. The experienced brand manager is excited to explore new pathways with the long-standing brand in the area of team and corporatewear.


Ms Akrapovic has been working for FOL International since 2016 and has overseen marketing at Fruit of the Loom for many years. She is very familiar with all company and brand structures and can draw on many years of experience. In her new role, she is responsible for marketing and

Office expansion for Preseli after another record year


P


reseli has opened new offices at its site in Flint, North Wales. The expansion has created a


bigger and more flexible office space and will allow the development of a new UK showroom.


Preseli has seen steady year-on-year growth since 2019 and has taken on new sales and operations staff to cope with the demand.


The office was opened by MD Dave Wilson and chairman Peter Perowne from Preseli Hong Kong who was visiting the UK to see the new facilities.

Mr Wilson said: “We are delighted to be able to make this investment in our UK operation as it’s reflection of the hard work and success we have had over the last three years. The new space will provide a better work environment for the team and give us capacity to expand more in the future.”


The new office has been built on Preseli’s existing site in Flint and means that order processing, UK stock and dispatch are all on the site without any restrictions on space. Preseli holds nearly 200 stock lines for quick turnaround.

The digital marketing team of the three brands Fruit of the Loom, Russell Europe and Jerzees also sees a new appointment. Lou Emilia Tassone is joining the Kaiserlautern office as a junior digital marketing specialist. Ms Tassone has already been working as an expert for social media and content marketing for the three brands Fruit of the Loom, Russell Europe and Jerzees since the end of 2023. She supports the marketing team at the Kaiserslautern office in her role as junior digital marketing specialist.


Xaar releases first sustainability report


X


aar has launched its first Sustainability Report, highlighting the transformative progress made towards the objectives set out in the company’s Sustainability Roadmap to 2030.


The downloadable report provides a comprehensive overview of Xaar’s sustainability achievements and future ESG initiatives. It clearly demonstrates the group’s goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2030 and the positive impacts that have been delivered for customers, suppliers, employees, and local communities.


Notable achievements shown within the report for 2023 include: • 2536 tonnes of carbon removed from Xaar’s Scope 1 & 2 carbon emissions (since 2019).


• One hundred percent of UK energy usage is from renewable resources.


• A total of £71,544 raised for UK charity partner Break, consisting of £35,772 from employees’ fundraising and an equal contribution from the company.


• 5596 CPD (continuing professional development) hours delivered, demonstrating employees’ investment in their career development.


• And 45 jars of honey harvested as part of Xaar’s ‘Plan Bee’ project.
