Printful adopts Coloreel technology for unlimited colour embroidery production

P

rintful is one of the first print on-demand companies to introduce the new Instant Thread Coloring Unit (ITCU) by Coloreel. Printful can now give business owners an extra advantage through offering the latest cutting-edge embroidery technology to customers.

Embroidery has always had a limited colour offering because a single machine can only house a small number of threads, and each thread has its fixed colour. For example, the red thread is only one kind of red, without brighter or darker colour variations. This has made embroidery unfit for most designs that have a wide range of colours and gradients, which limits creativity. But thanks to Coloreel’s new ITCU technology, prior embroidery limitations have been removed.

Elina Kruze, head of new product development and merchandising at Printful, said: “Printful’s new unlimited colour embroidery technique offers customers new opportunities to experiment and turn their creative ideas into products. At Printful we put a heavy emphasis on innovation as we strive to

Katja Pielenz, a shareholder and member of the advisory board of the Amann Group, said: “After Bodo Bölzle informed us of his wish to enter a well-deserved retirement, we grappled intensively with the tasks of the future management team and the prospective development of the Amann Group. “We see our social responsibility in terms of ensuring the comprehensive sustainability of our economic activities as a central point here.”

provide the best solutions and services for our customers. I believe that this new feature will be an industry game changer and will empower store owners to sell intricately embroidered products or logos that perfectly match their branding.”

At the moment, unlimited colour embroidery is still in the beta testing phase at Printful, so it is only available for a small number of Printful customers. However, the company plans to complete testing and gradually implement this technology across its fulfilment centres in the coming months.

s part of Orn Clothing’s long-term commitment towards becoming truly sustainable, the company has recently become a Carbon Neutral Business. Orn has offset 300 tonnes of CO2 that was created in the business operation in the following ways: • 100 tonnes has been offset on energy efficient cooking stoves in India: Improved stoves were provided to deprived communities in India to reduce indoor air pollution. Each stove will reduce emissions by 1.46 tonnes of CO2 each year.

• 100 tonnes has been offset on energising solar power in India: Five grid connected renewable Solar Energy Power Plants were implemented and installed. The solar panels will reduce emissions by around 850,000 tonnes of CO2 each year.

• 100 tonnes has been offset on Sonawade Small Hydro Power Project: Mahati Hydro Power Projects has built a small hydro power project of 4.0 MW (2x2 MW) capacity near villages Sonawade and Chandoli. In the absence of the project, the equivalent power generation would have come from the fossil fuel heavy NEWNE Region Grid. The project should save around 17,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.
