FECs

This presents a unique opportunity for FECs to consider expanding their

offerings to cater to a larger audience than just children — regarding their F&B and attractions/ entertainment offerings. A study by SevenRooms found that 62% of American consumers prefer to choose eatertainment venues for

a night out with their friends. And 43% said they would select these venues for a birthday outing. Increasing the variety and number of food and beverage options at an FEC

encourages guests to stay at the venue for an extended period of time and increases the average spend per guest. Additionally, allowing guests to order from their table or mobile phone allows for contextual upsells, lets guests order in their own time, and reduces queues at the counter, all helping to streamline the guest experience. So eatertainment is a hit concept for guests of all ages and one that FEC venues should notice. Technology is the common thread in this forward movement. The FEC

venues that adapt well to the changes in the industry have tried to stay in step with the latest advancements in technology and figured out how to use them to their venues' advantage. At ROLLER, we always try to develop new ways to help our customers do this. For example, we created our new party packages feature to make party bookings quick and stress-free. So when guests select a party experience, ROLLER will automatically calculate the number of party inclusions (like food and beverages) without any forms required, reducing checkout time by an average of 30%. And soon, at ROLLER, guests will be able to order and pay for food and

beverages via a QR code, giving them time to pursue the menu at their own pace and avoid waiting in queues at the counter. This will improve the guest experience and increase operational efficiency by eliminating pressure on staff at the POS terminal, reducing the staff resources required for food and beverages, and increasing spend per order. All of this is to say - the industry is changing. But venues can successfully

meet these changes equipped with the right technology. Such changes and trends are an excellent opportunity for FECs to diversify their offering to stay relevant and employ practices, plans, and systems that will not only future- proof their operations but ensure that they continue to prosperously ride the waves of change in this enduring industry that brings joy to guests as very few other industries can.
