Amusement Logic unveils new water slide system
D
edicated to providing the leisure and tourism industries with new products, new attractions and new experiences, Spanish
supplier Amusement Logic has revealed its latest creation, water slide system Star Flow. Many owners and operators of water parks,
including those in hotels and resorts, campsites and shopping centres, are pursuing an investment policy that strives to renew attractions and offer guests and visitors a new experience at least every year. Fully aware of this, Amusement Logic’s
Research, Development and Innovation department is always working on innovative attractions, and with the above aim in mind, the brand has developed Star Flow, its latest aquatic experience offering. Star Flow is a water slide system for four or
five-person floats, made up of a combination of star-shaped ramps. By launching themselves on the floats down slopes of up to 60° and entering the ramps at speeds of up to 50 km/h, visitors experience oscillating movements with a large amplitude and oriented component. The float system allows them
to enjoy Star Flow in the company of friends and family, making the new water attraction an even more enjoyable experience. All in all, the ride down Star Flow promises to be a thrilling and unprecedented experience for everyone.
The water slide system offers four variants of increasing complexity:
• Star Flow 1: one point, with exit at a height of 17.50 metres and occupied surface area of approximately 1,095 sq m.
• Star Flow 2: with two points and a height of 19.90 metres. It occupies an approximate area of 1,440 sq m.
• Star Flow 3: with 3 points and a height of 22.30 metres. The approximate area occupied in this case is 1,515 sq m.
• Star Flow 4: with 4 points, a height of 24.70 metres and an approximate occupied surface area of 1,530 sq m.
In addition to the above variants, the initial
entrance and final exit of the ramps can be configured as a combination of 3m diameter hydrotubes (Big Hole) and/or 3m wide open channels (Rivers). This factor gives the water attraction great versatility and adaptability. In addition, the required water flow rates and
ride times vary depending on the option chosen and the composition of the design. The end of the journey can be set with arrival
at a reception pool or a Run Out. The return of the floats to the exit
platform is via a conveyor belt.
