Fun Spot America Atlanta announces ArieForce One first ride auction

un Spot America Atlanta is ready to fly with its incredible new roller coaster, ArieForce One. In celebration of the grand opening, Fun Spot is offering fans, coaster enthusiasts, and thrill seekers alike the once-in- a-lifetime opportunity to be the first guests to experience the one-of-a-kind coaster.


The exclusive ArieForce One First Pilot Auction, benefiting the National Roller Coaster Museum and Archives is now live. Twenty winners will experience the coaster together as the park’s first public riders on Friday 31 March.


Winners will also take part in the grand opening celebration at Fun Spot America Atlanta, receive exclusive commemorative ArieForce One gifts, and a complimentary 2023 Ultimate Fun Spot Season Pass, valid at all three Fun Spot parks.

speeds up to 64 miles per hour. Two exclusive, state-of-the-art coaster trains take guests up a towering 154-foot lift hill and then send them flying – like a pilot in a fighter jet – for 100 seconds through a steep 83-degree first drop, and the largest Zero-G stall in the country.


ArieForce One also features four inversions as the coaster flies over the track, including a first-ever Raven Truss Dive, two Zero-G Rolls, and a 180-degree stall.


Work to begin on UK’s Therme Manchester waterpark resort


Therme Manchester, a major waterpark and wellbeing resort development in the UK, will soon enter its first phase of construction following demolition works.


Alton Towers announced the opening date via the world’s first pop-up hConstruction work will soon start on Therme Manchester, a new £250m  following the completion of demolition works on the Manchester site. Touted as a first-of-its-kind leisure destination for the UK, the waterpark resort is being developed by Therme Group and property developer Peel L&P, and will be located on the site of the former EventCity conference and exhibition centre in Manchester’s city centre.


Scheduled to open in 2025, the resort - which is Therme Group’s first in


 attractions including an indoor waterpark equipped with 35 waterslides and 30 pools. Among these will be the world’s first ‘living’ waterslides. Other facilities will include a year-round urban beach, several swim-up bars, an onsite urban farm, botanical gardens and a spa.


The development will have a strong emphasis on sustainability, health and wellbeing with plans for an education centre for local schools and community groups to learn about nature and sustainability.


Therme Group bosses estimate that the development will bring an estimated £4.5bn (US$5.4bn, € Richard Land, chief development officer of Therme Group UK, said; “It’s fantastic to see the site cleared and showing its amazing potential to be a global wellbeing destination. It defines a key milestone for us as we continue our journey to bring Therme to Manchester.”
