Cotaland confirms lateSeptember launch at Circuit of the Americas
A
new amusement destination is preparing to open its gates next month at Austin’s Circuit of the Americas, with Cotaland setting 26 September as its official debut date. The park blends motorsport
heritage with a mix of thrill rides, family attractions and live entertainment. Cotaland has been under development for five years and has gradually
introduced select experiences ahead of the full opening. The site aims to offer a broad lineup, from seasonal events and immersive shows to racingthemed activities and traditional amusement rides. Founder Bobby Epstein said the ambition was to create something distinct
within the US attractions landscape. “Cotaland was created to be far more than a traditional amusement park,” he said. “This is where theme park thrills, world-class racing, live entertainment and family experiences come together in a way that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the country.” Among the headline rides is Circuit Breaker, a Vekoma Tilt Coaster that
briefly operated during a Christmas lights event last December. It will formally open alongside the rest of the park, becoming only the second installation of its type in North America. Also launching is Palindrome, a Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster featuring a
shuttle layout, two inversions, a 95foot height and speeds reaching 51 mph. Additional attractions include the Soggy Logger log flume, Cloud Flyer swing
Sacoa Cashless System Recognized by LAAE for 10 Years of Partnership
Sacoa Cashless System has been honoured by the Colombian Association of Attractions and Amusement Parks (ACOLAP) and the Latin American Amusement Expo (LAAE) for participating as an exhibitor in 10 editions of LAAE. The recognition was presented during the XVI Encuentro ACOLAP & X Latin American Amusement Expo, held from July 29–31 at Cali, Colombia. The award highlights Sacoa’s contribution as a key ally to the consolidation and growth of LAAE and its role in bringing together professionals from the attractions and entertainment industry across Latin America.
“Receiving this recognition is very meaningful to all of us at Sacoa.
We are proud to have grown alongside the Latin American entertainment industry and to have contributed to an event that has become an important meeting point for the region,” said Alejandro Pomeraniec, CTO at Sacoa Cashless System.
