its latest milestone: Spike ASM Launch Coaster. Equipped with the revolutionary Adaptive Spike Motor (ASM) system, this coaster offers an unrivalled combination of tremendous performance and maximum flexibility. Designed for theme parks of all sizes, the ASM Launch Coaster promises exciting new experiences for all target groups.
Technological quantum leap ASM makes it possible to use spike technology for large trains and thus provide transport capacity for every need. This is made possible by the
outstanding power density and the enormous power of the latest generation of electric motors. The trains can thus accelerate at over 1 g at any point on the track and even in curves and vertically. In addition, the drive has a fully redundant design so that the trains can return to the station independently at any time, even in the event of a fault, and no additional evacuation facilities such as walkways, stairs or lifting platforms are required.
The electric motors used operate at an exceptionally high level of efficiency, which is around 20% higher than that of the most modern LSM systems. The enormous thrust is transmitted
directly to the rail via racks with 100% traction. Most of the energy used is recovered through recuperation and not converted into heat during braking, as is the case with conventional roller coasters. Overall, the ASM-Launch is characterized by an extraordinarily low energy requirement, which represents an important step towards sustainability.
Landmarks and records The complete flexibility of being able to use energy at any time leads to an unprecedented variety of new design options and innovative ride elements. The dreams of every roller coaster designer, such as the Standing 8 or the Shamrock, suddenly become reality and make conventional ride figures fade away.
