Park Word
Hello and thanks for picking us up once again; I’d like to welcome you to the latest issue of Park World – a very welcome relief from all the madness in the world, I’m sure!
P10
While Trump is busy breaking the world, I’m mostly concerned with the fact that I’m sat at my desk far too much while the sun is finally making a strong appearance outside. The good news is – of course – that for those of us in the UK and Europe it means we can finally ditch the big coats and get ready to spend some serious time enjoying the outdoors. We have plenty for you to consider this month, as we kick the issue off in style with our very own Susan Storey’s Park Hoppin’ column followed – as always – by the latest news (well… as ‘latest’ as you can expect from something that isn’t as instantaneous as everything else in 2025!).
P25
Our cover stars this month are the fabulous Great Coasters gang, who are very excited to share some details about their latest attraction, Wild Buffalo – the company’s first coaster to hit France. Our Industry Insider this month is Same Custers, CEO of The Park Playground, a man bringing 15 years of experience in entertainment, recruitment, and hospitality to the sector.
We have a bunch of features to amaze and delight this month, including a report on SpongeBob SquarePants’ Crazy Carnival Ride, an update on all things Asia-related, some news on the various developments from Legoland, and various company and park updates across the globe. Our very own Tom Anstey chronicles the rise and fall of a classic UK destination, as he brings us a farewell to an iconic Welsh attraction – Oakwood. There are a few more pages I won’t detail here (well… I’ve got to lure you in somehow haven’t I!) but I trust you’ll enjoy the issue as much as I plan to enjoy the sunshine as soon as I press SAVE on this welcome note! Be seeing you, Matt

THIS MONTH’S COVER SHOT: Wild Buffalo marks an exciting milestone for Great Coasters well as its first smaller-scale family ride. This project paves the way for GCII to develop more compact wooden family signature smooth and thrilling ride experience to a broader audience.
