Purgatory adding Mountain Coaster

An ADG Mountain Coaster is under development at Purgatory Resort in Durango, Colorado. This is ADG’s second mountain coaster project in Colorado to be undertaken this year, and is scheduled to open in 2018. Purgatory’s new ‘Inferno Mountain Coaster’ will feature over 4,000 feet

(1,219 m) of track with nine switchbacks, one 360º loop, and multiple zig-zags and dips over the course of a 300 foot (91 m) vertical descent. As with all of ADG’s Mountain coasters, the ride will be open in both winter and summer giving riders an adrenaline rush year- round.

The CanCan Coaster

The landmark attraction of the French themed area of Europa-Park, the enclosed Eurosat rollercoaster, will be extensively modified this summer. Reborn as the CanCan Coaster, it will be themed around the Moulin Rouge. Created by Mack Rides, the ride will provide a significantly improved driving

experience through advances and advancements in rail manufacturing at the Waldkirch company. In memory of the inventor Franz Mack and at the request of the owner family Mack, the future track layout will be very close to the original of the futuristic silver ball and will continue to be around 900 meters long. MackMedia, meanwhile, will create a new virtual reality experience as part of the

redesign. A separate station with shift track and separate trains will be integrated into the Darkride roller coaster, creating two attractions in one.
