he SEND Gateway is an online portal offering education professionals free, easy access to high quality information, resources and training for meeting the needs of children with special and additional educational needs and disabilities (SEND).


In addition the SEND Gateway hosts examples of effective practice, gathered directly from schools.


Free to access, any school can view these examples and apply them in their own setting,

So, as well as reading examples, you can share your own, using a simple online form, designed in consultation with professionals from schools, local authorities and MATs.

Effective practice is happening in settings all around the country; you may think that what you are doing in your school isn’t worth shouting about, but it could be just the thing that another setting is looking for.


You can share your examples of effective practice using any format (Word documents, data, reviews of interventions, personal passport frameworks, photographs of displays etc.), you don’t need to create anything new, so upload what you have!
