link curriculum learning to careers. Edge Future Learning can help. We have been working with employers to
create curriculum resources which are directly linked to the National Curriculum.
The first of these include a
KS3 geography and science project using British Gypsum as the context. Students explore different sectors of industry while discovering how gypsum is formed and what it’s used for. A KS3 PSHE/careers project
begins with students reflecting on their talents, interests and career ambitions, then exploring
the variety of job roles at the Yorkshire Dales National Park. For each set of resources teachers are provided with an indicative scheme of
work mapping the theme to the National Curriculum; a PowerPoint step-by- step guide through the theme for teachers and students; a set of teaching resources with clearly identified learning outcomes.
