On the 3-4 April, the largest education show in the UK comes to life at ExCeL, London. Combining a first class exhibition and networking arena for education professionals – all under one roof.


The quality on offer at this year’s Schools & Academies Show is higher than ever, with over 100 speakers across 8 theatres, and some of the best education suppliers in the UK. All the biggest issues facing the education sector will be addressed, such as funding and finance, recruitment, SEND and social mobility.


The Main Stage will play host to Mike Kane MP, Shadow Minister for Schools, Emma Knights OBE, Chief Executive – National Governance Association, Geoff Barton, General Secretary – ASCL and many more.


Matthew Purves, Deputy Director, Schools – Ofsted kicks of the session in the MAT Summit. Focussing on MAT inspections. Attendees will be provided with information on a new approach that will improve the inspection experience for MAT leaders. Leora Cruddas, CEO –t Confederation of Schools Trust with discuss the enhancement of Academy governance and leadership through effective professional development.


Elsewhere in the Business, Benchmarking and Financial Management Theatre, Stephen Morales,


CEO – Institute of Schools Business Leaders will concentrate on school budget mastery. Focussing on integrated curriculum-led financial planning & resource management in the context of an evolving funding formula. Attendees won’t just find financial-oriented sessions on offer, Robert Nitsch, CEO – Institute for Apprenticeships will provide a presentation on what a quality apprenticeship looks like.


Day two in the SEND Theatre will, once again, draw big crowds. Join us to hear Alex Grady, Education Development Officer – nasen discuss how schools and academies meet the needs of all their children and young people. NAO – our resident robot will show us new ways of teaching, a session not to be missed! Our all-important case studies will take place – this year the focus will be practical strategies for effective provision for young people with autistic spectrum disorder.


The Schools & Academies show is the place to hear the latest in central government policy, association guidance and the best of best practice. School improvement is always at the top of your agenda, and so it is ours,


with a whole Summit catering to it, with speakers such as Paul Whiteman, NAHT, and case studies covering how to prepare for an inspection provided by Louise Smith, Headteacher of Evelyn Street Primary.


The two-day event will deliver top class speakers were in residence at all theatres, including none other than, The Rt Hon. Damian Hinds MP, Secretary of State for Education who has been invited to give the Ministerial Keynote Address.
