Arthur Lira ha tenido la brillante idea de convertir la MP en un proyecto de ley, lo cual no solo la retrasaría, sino que pondría en peligro de volver a la catacumbas todo lo avanzado para regulas las apuestas deportivas en el país, por las mil y una triquiñuela a usarse por legisladores quienes se oponen a la MP y los juegos de azar en su totalidad, ya que el PL tendría que seguir otra vez todo el proceso legislativo de debates en ambas cámaras, así Lira diga que este se debe tratarse como una urgencia constitucional. Todo este juego me trae en mente las sabias palabras de un respetado profesional brasileño del sector, quien años antes, me había dicho que Brasil no pasaría una ley de juegos. Sin duda, buscaré otra vez la opinión de este señor en las ferias de la industria, que se vienen, para volver a retomar el asunto. t would seem that the interests prevailing in Brazil are not the most beneficial for the country because of the ambivalent nature of local legislators who, once again, manage to halt the almost ready Provisional Measure to approve sports betting regulations. President Lula has
already approved these, in the first instance, and now they require revision by a mixed parliamentary commission. However, the presidents of both legislative chambers do not agree that a mixed commission should do the revision job. As if this were not enough, now the president of the Lower House, Arthur Lira, has had the brilliant idea of turning the Provisional Measure into a full bill, which would not only delay it but also might put it in danger of being sent back into the catacombs everything that has been advanced to regulate sports betting in the country. Once back in the legislative house, there will be a thousand and one tricks used by legislators who oppose the Measure, gambling to derail the bill as it would have to follow the entire legislative process of debates in both chambers, even though Lira says that this new bill would be treated as a constitutional emergency.
