KAMAGAMES Indian Express
From looking at KamaGames’ own experience in India, our
first steps into the Indian market were taken after listening to local consumers and experts. Just like our other successful markets, we see our relationship with India as a two-way conversation. What we found was that it’s a thrilling new market, if you have the time, patience and resources to take it on. India is not a top tier country in terms of players’ LTV, but at the same time the cost of acquiring new users is relatively low and so a key focus when it came to user acquisition was both potential growth and scale. Having already establish a player base from India via the
previous launch of our current games – and also the partnership with Yoozoo through the launch of Poker Champions – we saw that whilst the level of engagement of Indian players is impressive, there’s is definitely a cultural preference to its own regional card games, hence our recent launch, Teen Patti. Teen Patti is a simple, fast-paced game loosely based on
poker and played with up to four players. Each player is dealt three cards face down and as the game progresses the “pot” grows in value and the winner is ultimately determined by the player who remains in the game until the completion of the hand or has the best cards. It is going to be interesting to see what results this
expansion of our portfolio yields especially any impact on our DAU numbers (and ARPPU) in the region. We guess only time will tell.
