SHOWERS, TRAYS & ENCLOSURES Nick Graville

Kudos

Matt Broughton caught up with Nick Graville, Sales & Marketing Director at RONAL Bathrooms UK, owners of Cumbrian manufactured shower enclosure, tray and wetroom brand, KUDOS. It has been a busy year as they celebrate 25 years in business; they settle into being a part of the RONAL group of brands and take advantage of their investment for growth strategy.

introductions, something that Kudos has always thrived on and excelled at. Starting in January, the business introduced its first ‘group’ product, the Divera range of shower enclosures. The range is a diverse collection that includes sliding bi-fold, hinged and quadrant enclosure door options with wet room panels, side panels and accessories in a matt black or high gloss silver finish. It is an entry-level product for Kudos, stretching the brand offer to attract a wider customer base, and they have seen an unprecedented take up on the range.

In March, Kudos introduced its ultimate slimline trimmable trays. An innovative collection of lightweight, slip and stain-resistant trays standing at just 27mm in height and available in 2 slate effect finishes and 19 standard sizes. Four further colour options, bespoke waste positions, and sizes (up to 2000mm x 1000mm) are also available for order on request. This was followed in April with a launch of accessories for their wetroom panels,

including various coloured finishes of new interconnectors, corner posts and profiles and mirrored décor panels for additional personalisation in the bathroom. Their new product calendar is busy all year as they will soon be unveiling another budget-conscious new 8mm enclosure collection in Autumn called Siona, plus more level access products and key additions to existing ranges in both their premium and core product collections.

“We have been stretching the Kudos brand to a wider audience this year, introducing budget- conscious products, with no compromise on quality and all backed by our lifetime guarantee,” says Nick Graville, Sales & Marketing Director. Their product drive has not just been about stretching the price bands but also reflecting an ageing population and multi-generational living. The new shower trays with anti-slip and extra slimline trays are all designed to aid safety and future-proof the home. The product is designed for multiple age groups. They are seeing a growth in sales for their wet room products, too. Offering elements that allow a customer to truly personalise their bathroom space is growing in

popularity, even down to the waste position within a shower tray or wet room. Being part of the RONAL Bathrooms Group has been a positive step change for the business, and that has been realised over 2024. The business now holds the position of the largest shower enclosure brand, also incorporating wellness and furniture, when combining its sister brands of RONAL, Glass, Karol and Kudos. That offers a wealth of expertise and resources to draw from and aids much of the strategic drive for growth in the UK through their Kudos brand. So, in addition to a busy product development schedule, the business has invested in the production area in Holme in Cumbria to increase capacity, and it is in the midst of extending its finished goods warehouse in Sandbach, with a 50% increase. All this ensures that their focus on customer service continues despite a growing product range and increasing sales.

They have also invested in a new sales team to support and focus on the builder’s merchant and contract market - from which they are seeing double-digit growth - and have also expanded the Retail Showroom focused team.

As Kudos has been trading for 25 years this year, investment in staff and charity events to celebrate that achievement have also been a business priority.

Kudos Shower Products has been designing and manufacturing shower products at its Cumbria facility since 1999. Now part of the Ronal Bathroom Group, its portfolio includes shower enclosures, shower trays, over-bath screens, and wet-room solutions sold via KBB showrooms and merchants across the UK.
