Three trends that will shape bathroom furniture in 2024

W

hen planning a bathroom remodel or renovation, it is important to stay up to date with the latest trends in bathroom furniture. This will enhance functionality, create a stylish

environment, and ultimately, increase the value of the home.

The first of these furniture trends is sustainability, brilliantly demonstrated by Roca’s new Tura collection designed by Catalan designer Andreu Carulla (launching in 2024). Tura furniture is made from FSC-certified wood and comes in a choice of Matt White, Light Noble Grey or Light Terracotta. The collection also

Colour is always a consideration when it comes to bathroom furniture, and currently, blue is the must-have hue. Renowned for its calming properties, blue can help create a relaxed and

serene atmosphere that’s perfect for the bathroom. It is also versatile, complementing a range of shades, including neutrals like white and grey, earthy tones like on-trend terracotta, as well as bolder hues like yellow and green. Moreover, blue is a timeless colour, ensuring that a blue vanity will remain stylish for years to come. Options from Roca include Tenue furniture in Night Blue (launching in 2024), Optica furniture in Steel Blue and The Gap furniture in Matt Blue. As more bathrooms are being squeezed into homes, small-space storage solutions are increasingly in demand. At Roca, that doesn’t mean sacrificing good looks and functionality for pieces that are suited to compact ensuites and cloakrooms. A great example is the new Roca Mini Pro vanity with integrated basin, which measures just 465(w)mm x 258(d)mm but still provides enough space for useful cupboard storage and an open shelf at the bottom.

athrooms are getting smaller, but our budgets are also limited. Therefore, we need creative ways to design a stylish bathroom without splashing out! One clever solution is Roca’s The Gap collection, which provides a large selection of furniture, basins, and WCs in different sizes and configurations to accommodate any space and budget.

A vanity unit is essential in bathroom design. It is important to select a size that suits your bathroom and allows for easy movement and

drawer opening. The Gap vanities are available in sizes ranging from 500mm to 1200mm. They feature soft-close drawers and compartments for organisation. Additionally, you have the option to choose between a wall-hung vanity or one with a choice of legs to match a particular bathroom style.

To complement your vanity, The Gap collection includes a variety of basins, such as over countertop, in countertop, under countertop, and wall-hung options. Particularly notable are the asymmetric wall-hung basins, which provide surface space on one side.

Colour selection is crucial when planning a bathroom. The Gap collection introduces new colours and finishes like Walnut, Matt Blue, Matt Grey, and Matt White, all featuring sleek Matt Black handles. Existing options like City Oak, Nordic Ash, and White Gloss are also available, each with different handle styles.
