Q&A INTERVIEW WITH MYLIFE BATHROOMS Cahal Lynch

MyLife Bathrooms

BKU’s Matt Broughton was in conversation with MyLife’s New Product Development Manager, Cahal Lynch.

Matt: Could you tell us a little about your role as New Product Development Manager? What exactly do you do on a week-by-week basis? Cahal: I’ve been with MyLife for almost 10 years, and as New Product Development Manager I oversee our portfolio of more than 1,800 SKUs. Week to week, I work closely with our technical team to ensure products meet required standards, and with marketing to keep everything aligned with our brand and market needs.

A major part of my role is identifying opportunities, staying on top of trends, materials, and new technologies in the bathroom industry. I design and develop new products from concept to launch, while also sourcing suppliers, visiting factories, and attending key tradeshows. I take pride in my attention to detail, whether it’s refining a design or ensuring every product is fully compliant and market ready.

Matt: Tell us a little about how 2025 went for MyLife. Cahal: We’ve had a very busy year; it’s difficult to sum it up in a few words. We launched 170 new products across 7 categories and extended current collections, allowing us to expand our product portfolio even further, offering our customers a greater choice. We also had record-breaking months of sales for the company in July and October, plus the launch of our new ERP system in December which streamlines order processing, invoicing and account management, helping us deliver a better customer experience.

Matt: What is the overall mission or goal that’s driving the company this year? Cahal: Our mission has always been to become one of the UK & Ireland’s leading bathroom brands, that is recognised for quality at the heart of everything we do. That’s everything from the raw materials chosen in our products to the MyLife team member picking up the phone to help with your query. We’re focused on offering superior products supported by outstanding customer service, consistently throughout the year.

6 BKU MARCH 2026

Matt: Will you be attending KBB? Cahal: Unfortunately, I won’t be attending KBB this year as I’ll be in Europe meeting with suppliers to discuss upcoming product developments. It’s a fantastic event, though, I’ve attended several times before and always enjoy seeing the latest trends, innovations, and design ideas shaping the KBB industry.

Matt: Can you tell us about some of the new products MyLife are featuring right now? Cahal: We’ve launched a number of exciting products for 2026. Our new Zina and Mani LED mirrors feature phantom lighting technology, creating a soft ambient glow that appears to shine through the mirror without revealing its source.

We’ve also expanded several popular ranges, our Otto 8mm shower enclosures now come in a Matt Black finish, and our new Ryver handle collection introduces T-bars, pull handles, and knobs in smooth, knurled, and fluted designs to add character to any furniture style. We’ve introduced Kallan prefilled heated towel rails to support growing demand for heat pump friendly options, offering a practical, minimal aesthetic that works well in modern spaces. A major launch is our Solution range of WRAS approved frames and concealed cisterns, paired with pneumatic dual-flush plates available in four finishes. Each plate features an anti-fingerprint design and has been carefully colour matched to our brassware, giving customers a fully coordinated, seamless look.
