n today’s bathroom design landscape, mirrors, brassware and complimentary accessories are doing far more than serving a practical purpose. They are starting to shape the entire look and feel of the space. As homeowners increasingly seek bathrooms that feel both personal and elevated, retailers and installers have a clear opportunity to guide them towards products that combine style, function and longevity.

One of the biggest shifts in the market has been the move away from traditional chrome and toward warmer, more characterful metallics. Finishes such as brushed brass, brushed bronze, gunmetal and matte black continue to gain momentum, offering greater scope for personalisation and a more design-led aesthetic. Matte textures in particular are proving popular, bringing a contemporary softness and understated sophistication that works beautifully across a range of bathroom styles.

hib. – The details defining the modern bathroom I

Currently, the palette for 2026 seems to be all about harmonious contrast, pairing earthy, grounding tones with refined metallic finishes to create interiors that feel timeless yet modern. These finishes allow retailers, designers and installers to help customers move beyond purely functional choices and instead create bathrooms with depth, warmth and individuality. Although often seen as a slightly bolder choice, mirrored cabinets remain a subtle yet impactful detail. With integrated illumination and smart features, they can frame the overall look and feel of the space beautifully, while complementing surrounding accessories to elevate a bathroom from good to truly spectacular. The same applies to taps, shower components and towel rails, which help to seamlessly tie together furniture, tiles and lighting.

For showrooms, helping customers visualise these finishing touches is essential. That’s why hib. has recently introduced a dedicated display tower designed to strengthen its in-store presence. This

features shower components and taps that can be picked up, handled and moved around the showroom, therefore encouraging customers to interact directly with the products, compare finishes against furniture and basins, and better appreciate the quality and design in person. It also creates a valuable starting point for conversations on style, layout and coordination.

Beyond display support, hib. works closely with retailers through competitive stock deals, quick delivery, strong stock availability and dependable aftercare support, all of which are key to maintaining successful partnerships and helping showrooms respond with confidence to customer demand.

As bathrooms continue to become more expressive, brassware and accessories are proving to be the details that make the biggest difference.
