PJH – Current Trading Climate

I think it is fair to say that nobody could have foreseen or planned ahead for the situation we find ourselves in at the moment, but whilst it does present many challenges for us all I am confident the sector will bounce back. PJH has seen tremendous growth in recent years and

this growth is due to the underlying strength of the KBB sector and the efforts we have made in partnership with our retailers to provide the products and service their customers want. The present lockdown situation will not last forever and we have worked hard to ensure that in returning to operations we can continue to provide our FIRSTCHOICE service. The safety of our staff and customers is my key

priority and in preparing for our return to work we have focused on ensuring our operation follows all guidelines regarding safe working.

I know that we, and I am sure a

number of businesses in this sector, will be utilising a different operating model for the rest of the year (more home working, different operational practices in warehouses etc.) but I am very confident we can make this work safely without impact to our customers. These are unprecedented times and I am proud of how my staff at PJH have dealt with the situation

and I am confident that we will return stronger than ever and whilst the rest of the year is difficult to predict, the sector will recover. We are here to help our customers – Together We’re Better.

HiB highlights the importance of mental health during awareness week

Award-winning bathroom supplier HiB has been spreading the message of positive mental health and wellbeing as part of Mental Health Awareness Week. To mark the event, the company’s Employee Experience team used the ‘Workplace’ internal communications platform, to encourage staff and their families to join in with series of activities promoting mindfulness and self-care. Emma Cuggy, HiB’s Customer and Employee Experience Director said: “Caring for our community

is at the heart of HiB and we have a fantastic Employee Experience team and group of Mental Health First Aid Champions, who are trained to support people should they ever need additional help. “Mental health problems can affect anyone at any time and with statistics showing that 1 in 4 people

in the UK will experience issues each year, we thought it was important to mark Mental Health Awareness Week and give people helpful tools to combat any difficult feelings they might experience.”
