appearance and branding through to new show features. “A huge part of delivering value for our audience
comes through the content that we deliver. We have employed the services of an external seminar organiser, 12th Man Solutions, who are helping us to curate a CPD Approved learning programme. “The new learning programme will include the
key and emerging topics that matter to the UK furniture manufacturing and joinery industry and will be delivered by experts. Visitors can expect to learn about the latest manufacturing processes and techniques, the latest trends in manufacturing technology and software, sustainability, health and safety, dust extraction and advice for doing business post-COVID-19. “It’s not just about reaching and driving the right
audience. This is important, but what we have to do as event organisers is deliver the best visitor experience - driving value and helping visitors to maximise their time on site. Visitors will be able to take advantage of the all new ‘exhibitor trails’ designed to take them directly to the stands with the products and services they are looking for, as well as an exclusive ‘show offers voucher book’. “Our new ‘Tooling Village’ will showcase the
latest handheld tooling equipment and will include live demonstrations to help engage visitors and bring these products to life. We’re hoping to have live challenges which will provide a tangible feature for our visitors. “Visitors can also expect to see new brands
when they walk through the doors next September. Alongside exhibiting stalwarts such as JJ Smith, Biesse, HOMAG, Daltons Wadkin, SCM, RW Machines, Masterwood GB, Weinig and Advance Machinery Services, are 30 brand new companies representing 10% of the total floorplan. “Amongst the new brands set to exhibit at The
W Exhibition are paint spraying equipment manufacturer; Anest Iwata, coving and cornices supplier; Cornices Centre Limited, industrial adhesives supplier; Kenyon Group, surfacing specialist; Lignadecor, abrasives surface experts; Sia Abrasives and profile wrapping solutions supplier; WPR Srl .
“We’re also working more closely than ever
with key trade associations such as the WMSA, FIESTA, DIDAC and the BWF to help shape the content for the show and ensure that we are meeting the needs of both our exhibiting and visiting audience. Alongside this, we are committed to driving awareness for new talent and helping to tackle the skills gap by shining a spotlight on the plethora of training and career opportunities across the industry. Our ‘New Talent Zone’ feature will provide a physical platform for apprentices and startups at the show. “Our investment, from behind the scenes to our
new and improved event features, will ensure that we are driving the right audience, and delivering the very best experience, when we open the doors on The W Exhibition 2021 and beyond. “We have been overwhelmed by the support of our stakeholders, who have all endorsed our date change announcement. We will be working as closely as possible with each and every one of them to ensure that we deliver the best event next September. W21 exhibitor Alex Dalton, Daltons Wadkin reinforced the sentiment around the importance of
live events. He said: "We're disappointed to have to wait a further year, but it is completely the right decision to postpone the show to 2021. The W Exhibition provides a shop front for us to connect with the market and allows us to go toe-to-toe with our competition. You can't quite beat the energy and thrill that you get from a show - it is second to none. “The new dates provide a positive milestone for
the industry to look forward and work towards. The extra time should also allow for the further development of new equipment and products, which can only be a good thing for W21 visitors.” The W Exhibition has over 40 years of heritage,
and continues to grow. It will return to the NEC for its bi-ennial four-day showcase from September 26 - 29, 2021. The show brings together some of the world’s leading suppliers of woodworking machinery, materials and tooling.
