INDUSTRY UPDATE
Panelco – Innovation at it’s finest
F
urniture and kitchen manufacturers and designers were keen to see the new trends from two major brand partners at the second Innovation event hosted by Panelco. On display in the large open design studio, Saviola created multiple displays full of new designs and textures, inviting the customers to share their thoughts and opinions. Saviola featured display walls with standout designs in large pieces, such as the Leonardo designs in black and grey, a natural feel of authentic and elaborate wood. New textures featured heavily in the displays, and the unique finishes were received positively by everyone. Panelco is already
committed to an ex-stock 18mm range of 29
colourways, including three carcase colours, to allow customers to achieve a 100% recycled kitchen unit. Sustainability and an eco- ethical focus are at the core
of Saviola’s design, displayed in a visual representation showing the whole process from old furniture, material cleaning, and separating waste for recycling which produces a pure material. Kronospan featured their new decorative collection in the studio along the main display wall showing off an impactful array of colours. Panelco has committed to adding the latest designs from stock. Kronospan utilised the full use of the second design area where customers could move large samples around and get to grips with the new decors and textures along with supporting assets to take away.
The recent collection is inspired by four origin stories, each with a different look and feels, all very different in their own right; a highlight was the new embossed texture that enhanced the new oak and chestnut designs on display, a real wow factor.

Unified Water Label Association to promote the Unified Water Label at ISH
he Unified Water Label Association (UWLA) will be exhibiting at ISH, the leading trade fair for HVAC + Water, which will be held in Frankfurt from 13 to 17 March 2023.
T
The UWLA will be at Stand 4.1 FOY18 with its partner the European Association for the Taps and Valves Industry (CEIR), and is hosting a presentation on Wednesday 15 March for EU
commissioners, partners, members, press and other interested parties.
The presentation will cover how the Unified Water Label can help solve the climate crisis and include best practice
examples of promoting the benefits of the Label to help the consumer use less water and energy in the bathroom.
UWLA CEO Yvonne Orgill said, “Being at ISH provides us with an ideal platform to raise the visibility of the Unified Water Label. It is particularly important this year as one of the key themes for the ISH water section is sustainability.
“We have made significant progress in the last twelve months as we have all come to realise that the world is changing and the environmental impact of how we use water in the home is increasingly important. Working with our members, partners and supporters, we are taking the lead, being proactive today, in order to protect the water supply for future generations.
“Governments across Europe have signalled their intention to address climate change and energy efficiency, and we are delighted that the Unified Water Label has been recognised within the ISO 31600 Water Label Standard and the EU Taxonomy.”
The UWLA presentation is open to all ISH attendees, visit the website for details or email Vikki Hollins.
