Atelier Collections take centre stage in partnership between Ideal Standard and Island Bathrooms
H
aving worked together for over 25 years, it was a natural fit that Ideal Standard partnered with Island Bathrooms to become a flagship showroom for its premium Atelier Collections. The partnership has seen the creation of a dedicated retail space at the Salisbury showroom, with further work taking place at Island Bathrooms Bournemouth location. By partnering exclusively with showrooms including Island Bathrooms for the Atelier Collections, Ideal Standard is reaffirming its ongoing commitment to supporting its retailer network.
We spoke to Andrew Gwilliam at Island Bathrooms and Adam Evans at Ideal Standard, about why the relationship works so well and what the products offer.
The Atelier Collections reimagine iconic styles of the past with contemporary, colourful designs. “The collections are a journey back through our design history and the philosophies of the past,
reimagined for the modern era”, said Adam Evans, Channel Director at Ideal Standard. “The pieces are a perfect fit for stunning showroom spaces like those found at Island Bathrooms, and provide a great way for Andrew and the team to showcase their expertise and history of working with us.”
The Salisbury space certainly makes an impression. Spread over more than 500 sq. ft, the dedicated retail space will focus on the Atelier Collections as well as feature Ideal Standard’s Bathrooms Collections ranges, all of which are fully compatible thanks to Ideal Standard’s Singular™ philosophy. “One of our biggest priorities is encouraging our customers to focus on the bathroom as more than just a practical space. The Atelier Collections immerse customers in pieces with a rich design history, utilising materials, textures, and technology, which can help create a space of peace and luxury. Importantly, the Collections also give us a central brand focus for the showroom.” adds Andrew Gwilliam, Operations Manager at Island Bathrooms. Andrew says that it’s a relationship that goes both ways, with Ideal Standard and Island Bathrooms supporting one another to deliver the best service for customers. In the showroom, expert retailers support customers in choosing the products that are right for their space, while a dedicated team on the manufacturer side ensures that the order is dispatched efficiently. “High-end ranges are at their best when paired with the advice that our experts can give, and the continued support we offer throughout the customer

journey. This ensures customers best understand how products look and feel in-person, and how the pieces can work for them as well as helping deal with any issues down the line. Working closely with a manufacturer as we do with Ideal Standard means placing trust in their service because it directly impacts the service we can provide to our customers, so having that dedicated team gives us confidence that we can always deliver.” The partnership is set to develop further; with the creation of a 331 sq. ft. space containing both the Atelier and Bathroom Collections underway at the Bournemouth showroom. Mr Gwilliam describes the new space as an opportunity to bring the most striking bathroom designs to more communities.
Investing in these partnerships is evidence of the value Ideal Standard places on its retailer network, as the business continues to put the Atelier Collections in the hands of those with the skills and expertise to ensure they fulfil their considerable potential. Mr Evans adds: “It’s a true partnership, with everyone pulling in the same direction to create a better experience for the customer. We’re really excited to continue supporting Island Bathrooms, both with continued additions to the Atelier Collections and with the opening of the space at the Bournemouth store.”
