Franke sink and tap feature in Old House, New Home kitchen transformation
Franke’s Vital Capsule Filter tap and a Peak stainless steel sink were chosen as part of a home restoration on the Channel 4 property makeover series, George Clarke’s Old House, New Home, which helps people make their period homes fit for a modern life. A Vital Capsule Semi-Pro Filter tap in chrome and gunmetal and a single bowl Peak PKX 110 45 stainless steel undermount sink were selected as part of the renovation, which saw George help to painstakingly restore and update Cookie and Sophie’s Edwardian arts-and-crafts terrace house in Addiscombe, South London, which is packed full of original features. Jeanette Ward, Franke Communications Manager, says: “We were
delighted that Cookie and Sophie chose to modernise their beautiful Edwardian home with the Vital Capsule Filter tap, which features the very latest filtration technology, paired with a sleek stainless steel undermount sink. It’s a beautifully designed kitchen and illustrates how modern products can work in harmony with a classic home.” The programme aired on Sunday 12 January and is available to watch now on

Tile Doctor to sponsor TTA Tiling Show 2020
better than ever before, following improvements made as a result of feedback from exhibitors and visitors. The Show will take place on Friday 27 March from 10am to 4pm and TTA is delighted to have the support of Tile Doctor as sole event sponsor. The event will take place in the Kings Suite of the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, a bigger space than last year. Companies who are thinking of exhibiting are advised to book their space immediately. For anybody in the tiling business, this will be the one exhibition of the year that you really need to attend. The Show will be open for all to visit and TTA expects to welcome
T
visitors from all sectors of the industry – including of course the bathroom and kitchen sectors. Tile Doctor, formed in 2006 by Jeremy and Russell Taylor, exists to
provide ongoing maintenance for installed tiled surfaces. “There are three stages with any tiling installation,” says Jeremy Russell. “There is the sales phase, when tiles, adhesives and grouts are specified and sold to the customer; there is the installation phase, where the tiles are fixed, and in many people’s eyes that’s the job completed. However the maintenance phase is often overlooked.” Maintenance work can be specialist and goes beyond just cleaning up
the tiled surface. Tile Doctor carries out the work using its own range of products, which are also available to buy online from the company’s website. The business splits about 50/50 between DIY and non-DIY. Full information relating to the Tiling Show can be found on the website
