The thermostat range that puts you in control.

Arlington creates new Thermagal division

rlington Industries is a world-leading supply chain consolidator, with Arlington Automotive - the Group’s main division - serving major automotive OEMs across the globe. As part of an expansion into the heating and sanitary sectors, Arlington has now launched a new division – Thermagal. Previously operating under the Magal Dauphinoise Thomson

A

brand, Thermagal builds on its 50 years of experience, now offering bespoke element and thermostat manufacturing to the heating and sanitary industry. With this expertise and skill, Thermagal manufactures 18 million thermostatic elements and 4 million membranes each year. Thermagal’s recently expanded factory space includes in-house

designed production machines, automated and manual assembly, as well as a technical facility with a fully equipped testing laboratory. Along with its strong capabilities in design, engineering and project management, this makes Thermagal perfectly placed to serve the market with high quality thermostatic mixing elements, thermal actuators and electrothermal actuators. The creation of Thermagal follows the restructuring of the company

last year, which saw the establishment of two new divisions under Arlington Automotive – Thermal Management and Engineered Systems – after the acquirement of the Wahler thermostat business from BorgWarner. Mark Franckel, Arlington Industries Group CEO, said: "We’re

delighted to launch Thermagal to the heating and sanitary market. Thermagal will manufacture thermostatic elements that are smarter, cleaner, safer and lighter. We can’t wait to deliver to our customers – both established and new.” For further information please visit the Thermagal website thermagal.com/introducing-thermagal.

remium cooking appliance manufacturer Britannia has announced the first winners of its Artisan Food Collection initiative, a curated list of the best produce from around the British Isles. Launched last November in partnership with well-known food and

drink journalist and broadcaster Nigel Barden, a familiar voice on national radio in the UK since the 1990s, Britannia asked the public to nominate their favourite food and drink from where they live via social media channels. From jams and honeys to bread and charcuterie – and not

forgetting local ales, ciders, and spirits – the best recommendations were awarded a place on Britannia’s Artisan Food Collection map. As part of the initiative Britannia has released a monthly podcast in

partnership with Nigel in which he discussed a region and its food and drink culture, and reviews the nominations from that area. Britannia has now announced the winners for Wales and Scotland.

In Wales, the Pembrokeshire Beach Food Company’s Café Môr has scooped first place. Set up nine years ago by Jonathan Williams, and joined a year later by Susan Davenport, the company is an ethical seafood supplier specialising in seaweed and laverbread products. Y Bechgyn, a coffee shop, bakery and deli in Llandysul, took second

place with its sourdough loaf, and The Moody Cow, a farm shop and bistro in Aberaeron, was awarded third place for its rib eye of beef. In Scotland, Great Glen Charcuterie, set up twenty years ago when

Jan Jacob and Anja Baak moved from the Netherlands, has been awarded first place. Located in the Scottish Highlands, the company specialises and produces local wild venison. The Scandinavian Bakery, a bakery on the Isle of South Uist, took second place with its cinnamon bun. And Ritchie’s of Rothesay, a fishmonger on the Isle of Bute, was awarded third place for its oaked smoked trout. Winners from the remainder of the UK will be announced in the

coming months. All the winning entries can be seen on the Britannia website.
