Facilities management company, Thermatic, has announced the appointment of Joe Lyon as its new CEO. Formerly Operations Director, Joe will steer the organisation through its next phase of strategic transformation as the company continues to challenge the traditional FM market. He takes over from Paul Douglas-Fleet who is emigrating to take on a new role. Thermatic has also strengthened its Executive Team with


several key promotions. Jen Buckley becomes Director of People and Client Services, Ivan Morley moves into the role of Growth Director, Rachael Crozier has been appointed Director of Risk and Compliance and Dean Purcell is now Commercial Finance Director. Commenting on the changes Joe Lyon said: “I am honoured to


step into the role of CEO and grateful for the trust and support of our owners, my colleagues, and the wider Thermatic team. I would also like to personally thank Paul for his inspiring work as CEO. “As we move forward, I’m committed to leading with ownership,

 been named as an approved supplier on the University of Essex Flooring Supplies and Services Framework. It has also renewed its position as a preferred supplier with the established Procurement for Housing (PfH) purchasing consortium. The University of Essex framework has been developed for the education sector and any public sector organisation – including NHS bodies, local authorities, and emergency services   PfH is a purchasing consortium open to all UK housing


associations, local authorities and other public bodies. It is one of the largest goods and services consortia based in the UK with an annualised spend in excess of £0.3bn and over 900 members. Both schemes aim to improve procurement practice for a range


of organisations throughout the UK, allowing them to choose suppliers that have been carefully vetted and appraised on ability to deliver. Designer Contracts commercial director Louise Walters said:


“We are delighted to have been accepted on to the University of Essex framework and to have renewed our status with PfH. Construction has completed on a Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in Hereford, designed with a patient-focused approach to provide a reassuring environment for imaging and testing. Designed by Architype and Medical Architecture for Wye


Valley NHS Trust, and constructed by Speller Metcalfe via the NHS ProCure23 (P23) framework, the £18m centre is part of a national initiative to boost NHS diagnostic capacity by providing CDCs in local communities close to people’s homes, making services more convenient and accessible. The P23 framework enabled early engagement of the full project team, supporting a highly collaborative approach throughout design and construction. 
