systems - such as e-business platforms, prepress systems, accounting software, and logistics platforms - a MIS can manage all essential details. “At Dataline, we have noticed a growing interest from wide format PSPs in implementing powerful MIS software like MultiPress, tailored specifically to their unique needs. Not only does it reduce administrative costs and streamline overall operating expenses, but its robust database also enables stringent, data-driven management control - an area where generic project management software often falls short.” At Drupa the ‘MultiPress AI Assistant’ was introduced as part of Dataline’s new MultiPress 6.0 Sirius. Simply put it interprets all data in your own MIS database and can use the information to benchmark quotes before sending them to your customers. “If you make a quotation, the AI Assistant will be able to give you advice on the chances of this going to be approved by the customer based on historical data. It will give the person in charge of that quote (sales, calculator, admin) advice on where to improve the quote. We demonstrated this live during Drupa and got very positive feedback from many customers, so we are rolling this out,” says Stoffels.

MultiPress 6.0 Sirius itself - launched at Fespa Global in the spring

and available from Q3 2024 - specifically includes new features for sign and large-format companies. There’s a revamped MultiPress app, first introduced in 2019, which allows sign and large-format installers to track every assembly job in real time. In addition, an app in which customer data can be accessed within MultiPress mobile had also existed for some time. Based on user feedback, both these apps have been reworked and packaged into one application for iOS and android devices.

The CRM app provides access to all customer data in MultiPress and has been extended to all communications, estimating data, pricing information, historical data and much more - information that can be accessed from anywhere.

The installation or assembly app is designed to process all the

work and costs involved in delivering sign and large-format orders as correctly and easily as possible in MultiPress. The revamped app taps into the expedition planning in MultiPress, allowing installers to follow the order of their jobs and the process. The app also offers installation guidelines and the ability to accurately add working hours of all employees, additional materials purchased and photos of the completed work. The customer can digitally sign and send the delivery note. With the revamped app, handling sign and large-format installations onsite is fully integrated into the MultiPress workflow so that accurate post-calculation and financial settlement can smoothly complete each project.

Dataline is also strengthening its partnership with Agfa (re Asanti),

OneVision, Caldera (re PrimeCenter), Onyx and others. In terms of machine monitoring, HP points to its Live Production App on PrintOS for HP Latex printers. The main benefit of this application is the ability to monitor the production of printers in real time. Starting from November, the app will also offer the option of remote control, allowing PSPs to remotely modify the print queue (pause, cancel, or reorder jobs) from their mobile or desktop devices. Regarding system logs, HP has them (in the FW Seals package) and

the service team can use them for troubleshooting. It is not a tool used by the end client, but HP stresses that it improves the overall support experience and efficiency. At Inktec Europe, national hardware sales manager Julian Mennell flags-up the importance of the GUI on its Jetrix printers.
