WRAPPER’S DELIGHT

THE SECOND WRAPFEST EVENT CAME TO A CLOSE IN OCTOBER AFTER AN EXCITING TWO DAYS AT SILVERSTONE RACE CIRCUIT, BUT WHAT WERE THE HIGHLIGHTS?

A REAL BUZZ Overall, the event definitely had a buzz about it, even more so on the Thursday when celebrity car wrapper Yiannimize made an appearance to host an exclusive Business Surgery Clinic. By signing up, visitors could receive personalised advice and guidance on how to grow their businesses and achieve greater success in the industry. Yiannimize also used the event to unveil four exclusive colours of Supreme Wrapping Film launched in partnership with Avery Dennison. Taking the unveiling one step further, Yiannimize did not miss the opportunity to showcase his car wrapping capabilities and presented his own Lamborghini wrapped in the colour pearl tutu pink. Yiannimize’s appearance at WrapFest certainly pulled in the crowds.

Car wrapping specialists and installers gathered for the two-day event held on October 3 and 4, to witness the very latest products and applications on display. Not only this, but if visitors ventured down to

Silverstone’s pit garages, live demonstrations by the event’s 11 sponsors took place all day long. The pit garages were transformed into a vibrant car wrapping hub, with experts showcasing the very latest application methods, with attendees even able to have a go themselves and test a wide range of products, from small precision tools and heat guns to finishing sprays and specialised squeegees. For example, Avery Dennison hosted two insightful demonstrations, led by specialist trainers Ash Ellison and Dan Spouse. The two men explored the vibrant colours and application techniques of Mactac Colorwrap films and delved into the world of paint protection film. Back in the main exhibition hall, on the Wrap Talks

stage, attendees were treated to a whole host of informative and thought-provoking topics. Sessions ranged from talks on sustainability and recycling to women in the world of wrap. Exclusive interviews with experts in the industry were also on the programme. The dedicated event speaker programme allowed visitors to take home fresh insights and real-life stories to help grow their business and improve current skills.

Another highlight of the event was the UK leg of the prestigious World Wrap Masters competition. Up to 20 of the world’s most talented wrappers went head-to-head in a series of rounds designed to test a wrapper’s ability, application techniques, knife or cutting skills and precision, showcasing their expertise across printed media, colour change, and, for the first time, PPF materials. It was Chris Hooper from WrapWorx in the UK who took home the podium spot, the UK title and a place in the World Wrap Masters Final to be held in Germany in May 2025.

All-in-all the second WrapFest event achieved its goal of uniting wrap professionals, enthusiasts, and industry leaders from across Europe. As an event it certainly caters for the specific requirements and interests of this vibrant and growing sector.
