Canon now has an integrated ‘back office’ that provides exactly this kind of insight. “All Canon Production Printing products, including wide-format systems, can be securely connected to the Canon Production Printing back office. This dashboard displays data on vital elements such as printhead performance, ink usage data and electrical component data. This level of insight provides Canon with the feedback required to prevent future downtime, and continuously improve our devices. “Taking it one step further, diagnostics from the back office can then be processed using service platforms, such as Canon’s Prismaservice, which collects device data, and makes it accessible to the wider Canon service channel. The highest level of security is taken to ensure that only functional performance data is shared, meaning customers can enjoy a fully integrated service, without sacrificing compliance or peace of mind.
