Canon uses printing prowess for exhibition at EXPO 2025
Canon has teamed up with the Birmingham Royal Ballet (BRB) to raise awareness of the BRB’s ground-breaking medical research into Relative Energy Deficiency in Dance (RED-D), through a compelling photographic print exhibition at EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan. The exhibition was premiered in the
UK Pavilion of this year’s world EXPO and featured high-impact, large-format prints of photographs of BRB dancers. Using Canon’s imagePROGRAF
PRO series large-format printers, the images were printed up to 1.6m long on Hahnemühle’s Bamboo Gloss Baryta, a paper made from 90% bamboo and 10% cotton fibres.
Selected images were also produced with elevated, tactile print on a Canon Arizona flatbed printer, ensuring that the imagery and story were also accessible for visually impaired visitors to EXPO. Stuart Rising, head of graphic arts
at Canon UK & Ireland, said: “I am thrilled that we were able to bring our print expertise, alongside collaborative partners like Hahnemühle, to ensure that the outcome of the final exhibit met and even exceeded expectations.”
Dominion launches The Print School and new rebrand
Dominion has announced a new rebrand and its launch of a new learning initiative, after reporting an increase of £1 million in turnover over the past two years. The Print School, Dominion’s new learning initiative, will hold its first session on February 11, 2026, and will offer workshops, HQ tours, online resources, and practical tools for professionals. The second part of the print specialist’s significant growth is its rebrand, which includes a new visual identity, redesigned website, and sharpened messaging. Verity Fox, managing director of Dominion, said: “We’re here to empower. Large-format print remains incredibly underutilised from a creative perspective, often because of a lack of awareness around what’s possible or achievable. “Our new brand and refreshed messaging,

Buko Infrasupport moves to Roland DG products to help workflow
Buko Infrasupport has moved to Roland DG products to improve their workflow and turnover. They chose to install the TrueVIS LG-540 UV printer/cutter, which can print directly on a variety of substrates, including aluminium composite panels to reflective films. Matthijs Beelen, project lead IT at Buko Infra Support, said: “Traffic signage is a critical part of infrastructure. We needed a solution that could match our growth ambitions, increase efficiency, and maintain the durability our customers expect. “The LG-540 has transformed our

implemented Roland DG Connect, which allows operators to pre-warm printers remotely before arriving on-site, cutting unproductive set-up time from daily routines.
Mr Beelen noted: “The ability to
see live printer performance data is a game-changer. It helps us plan proactively, prevent downtime, and stay in control of operating costs.” Following the success of the LG-540,
