NEW YEAR, NEW KIT, NEW SHOWS!


Hello readers! It is lovely to be writing to you all for the fi rst time, I hope I get the chance to do so more regularly.


Melanie very eloquently introduced us as your new editorial team for Image Reports in the last edition so let me take a chance to introduce myself this time and thank you all for your readership; we are delighted to bring you the latest and greatest in the large format printing world.


The new year has seen a myriad of new releases to the printer market and we cover two big announcements in the issue, namely the launch of the latest addition to Roland DG’s TrueVIS lineup, and the fi fth generation of swissQprint’s Nyala and Impala series.


We speak with Sharon Stratton at Format Graphics about the company’s new Jeti Bronco H3300 from Agfa, the only one in the world to be installed, and as a nod to International Women’s Week in March, we speak with the executive director of Girls Who Print, Deborah Corn, about her views on the print industry and the growing representation of women in the stereotypically male-dominated fi eld.


This issue also falls as the last one before the anticipated Sign & Digital UK so inside will be a preview giving a rundown of what to expect, including new exhibitors, equipment, and feature areas.

Finally, this year also sees the introduction of The Sign Industry Awards for which this title will be the sponsoring magazine. It is gearing up to be a wonderful event with guest host Hal Cruttenden confi rmed and the voice of the balls Alan Dedicoat lending his iconic vocals to the night.


Myself and Melanie will be there to celebrate the best and brightest in the industry and we very much hope to see as many of you there as possible. If you are thinking of coming along I look forward to seeing you there!
