HIUs with easy connection and low maintenance

Integrated heating, metering, pre-payment and billing & bureau specialist WilSon Energy has launched its own range of Heat Interface Units (HIUs), suitable for any heat network in residential homes and commercial developments. After months of working with

leading heating engineering groups, WilSon has developed a high-quality, low-maintenance range of HIUs for the UK market off ering a versatile, cost- eff ective and energy-effi cient solution. The WilSon HIU W1 to W6

deliver a range of electric twin plate, single plate, mechanical twin plate and hybrid HIU options, ideal for heat pump applications and suitable for new build or refurbishment projects, as well as heat network upgrades. Andy Wilkinson, CEO at

WilSon Energy, says: “Designed by experienced engineers, our new range of HIUs are easy to install and confi gure. They can connect to any type of meter through an MBus or Modbus open communication connection, providing easy access to data for meter readings, remote diagnostics and data analytics. Following BESA testing, we’re also really pleased that the units off er the highest energy effi ciency performance in the market

Expanded control

Vimar has introduced new temperature control features for its View Wireless system, part of the company’s Smart Home range. The system can now be managed through the Tab 7S Up and Tab 5S Up video entryphones, which act as supervisors for connected devices. The devices allow for the remote management of

control units, making it possible to connect most systems (radiators, UFH and fan coils). To refl ect these new functions, the dial thermostat has updated the graphics of its front button icons. The new thermostatic head, installed to replace

radiator valves, allows users to modulate water fl ow, either locally or remotely. It can function independently, with the same functions as a timer- thermostat, or be subordinated to a connected (‘master’) thermostat to manage multiple radiators. It features Bluetooth wireless technology and can

by VWART (Volume Weighted Average Return Temperature).” While the range is simple to

install, with an optional pipe- conversion kit for any top/bottom connection confi guration, it also includes sophisticated features. Removable panels provide easy access into the HIU for maintenance and servicing, and a Legionella fl ush prompt signals when the system is fi rst set up or has been inactive for an extended period. Each unit is available with a range of covers and colours, including black EPP and white steel. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/126/55

Copper alloy fi ttings for high-pressure refrigeration

Targeting high-pressure refrigeration applications up to 130 bar, Conex Bänninger has introduced the K65, a high- strength copper alloy fi tting. Developed in collaboration with Wieland, a copper alloy tube manufacturer, K65 was created to support the increasing use of CO2 (R-744) refrigerant in commercial refrigeration, including supermarkets.

The K65 braze system does not

require welding and is lighter than steel alternatives, making it easier to handle, cut and transport on site. It is available in sizes ranging from ⅜" to 2⅝" and is designed to withstand pressures beyond the limits of standard copper pipe. K65 is readily identifi able and easy to distinguish from traditional

copper due to its slightly magnetic property, the K65 and 130 bar markings. When professionally installed K65 fi ttings are covered by a 25-year guarantee. CO2 refrigerant used with K65

has zero ozone depletion potential and a global warming potential of one. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/126/58

Boost pressure from a small footprint

The latest addition to the EsyBox range from DAB Pumps is the EsyBox Pop, a small and lightweight unit designed to fit into tight spaces under sinks or in bathroom cupboards. From powering up a sluggish shower to giving kitchen taps the power they need to perform, the EsyBox Pop makes water pressure problems a thing of the past.

The EsyBox Pop is supplied fully assembled, with rotatable fittings to simplify installation and a modular design that allows parts to be replaced without dismantling the entire unit. It features a variable frequency drive to adjust motor speed according to demand, a built-in pressure sensor to maintain steady water flow, and a non-return valve. The pump has an IPX5 protection rating and low-noise operation, and its performance can be monitored remotely via the DAB H2D app. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/126/59

now with 30mm tubes

The Ellipsis range from The Radiator Company has been enhanced with the addition of a new 30mm tube size option, available in both horizontal and vertical designs. Smaller than the original 50mm model, the 30mm Ellipsis provides a more compact design while maintaining heat output, making it suitable for narrow hallways, awkwardly shaped rooms or areas with limited wall space. spaces, a double confi guration with two layers of tubes increases heat output while still occupying minimal wall area. The range also includes a

matching heated towel rail, available in four heights and four widths. The towel rail is stocked in white and can also be made to order in 188 RAL colours, 31 fi nishes and six feature fi nishes. A specialist colour coordination

service allows radiators to be matched to paint shades from brands including Farrow & Ball and Little Greene. Both horizontal and vertical 30mm models are CE/ UKCA approved and certifi ed to BS EN442. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/126/57

New framed panels and glass

Kinedo has refreshed its walk-in shower collection, expanding the Solo range with new designs, fi nishes and confi gurations. The updated Solo range now brings together existing models in a variety of sizes and door styles, including pivot, bi-fold and sliding options, as well as static and kick panels. The new Solo Design + model

introduces a single shower panel framed in slim aluminium. It is available in fi ve profi le colours – white, black, brushed graphite, brushed stainless steel and brushed gold – each with a matching reinforcement bar. Six glass types are available, including frosted Cosmos and Weave for added

privacy, Art Deco with a gold pattern, Mondrian with a black grid design, and fl uted glass for a textured, decorative fi nish. All glass panels include an anti-

limescale treatment to simplify cleaning and reduce maintenance. The range is compatible with both wetroom fl oors and shower trays and features reversible installation options to suit diff erent layouts. The updated collection complements Kinedo’s Kinewall panels and trays, allowing installers and homeowners to source a complete, coordinated showering solution from a single manufacturer. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/126/60
