NEW PRODUCTS WATER BOOSTER SET

INDUSTRIAL CHILLERS

Enhanced chillers offer cost savings for business

An upgraded version of the TCX series of industrial chillers from ATLAS COPCO has been launched. The new TCX13-110AG models offer cooling capacities ranging from 13 to 115kW and are designed for use in applications requiring precise temperature control, such as machine tooling, plastics processing, pharmaceuticals and food and beverage production. The updated chillers use R32

refrigerant, which has a lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) compared to previous refrigerants. The design includes scroll compressors and brazed plate heat exchangers to support efficient heat transfer and consistent performance under varying operating conditions. Optional EC brushless fans and electronic expansion valves help to improve energy efficiency by optimising airflow and refrigerant flow. Microchannel condensers are included to reduce refrigerant volume

Booster system designed for efficient water pressure management

A new water pressure booster set has been introduced by WILO for use in both new and existing buildings. The SIBoost PC system is built to maintain constant water pressure across high-rise and large commercial developments while improving energy and operational efficiency.

The unit includes three pumps and

and improve thermal performance, supporting environmental compliance by lowering overall emissions. The chillers are built with corrosion- resistant materials and come in a range of configurations to suit different industrial requirements. Smartlink connectivity is integrated

into the system, allowing for remote monitoring, data tracking, and predictive maintenance. The compact format of the chillers also supports ease of installation in both new and existing facilities, offering flexibility for

retrofit and expansion projects. ■ www.atlascopco.com/en-uk

can deliver up to 9 bar of pressure. It features backup control functions to ensure continuous operation if one of the pumps fails, allowing maintenance without shutting down the full system. The inclusion of an IE5-rated motor can help to reduce energy consumption and running costs. The SIBoost PC is also equipped with

a range of control options, including compatibility with building management systems. This allows remote monitoring of pressure, flow rates and maintenance needs. An external shutdown function is included to switch off the system in case of faults such as pipe leaks or system failure.

“While the anticipated infrastructure

investment is crucial to drive growth and improve public services across the country, doing so sustainably is going to be key if we are going to be able to

AIR HANDLING UNITS

Adaptable AHU delivers on efficiency and air quality

KLIMA-THERM has launched the Rhoss ADV- DNAIR range of air handling units (AHUs), designed to meet current energy efficiency standards and air quality requirements in commercial and industrial buildings. The new range replaces the previous ADV- NEXT AIR and includes several updates aimed at improving performance, adaptability and ease of installation. The ADV-DNAIR units

feature a patented self- supporting structure that eliminates air leakage and reduces the risk of condensation. Filter frames are designed to ensure total air sealing, with options up to ePM1 95% to improve indoor air quality. Additional filtration options, including

meet Net Zero,” says Jason Cox, sales director at Wilo UK. “Our SIBoost PC has been designed to ensure constant water pressure, while being extremely energy conscious and affordable, for the next generation of apartment blocks, hotels,

hospitals and schools." ■ wilo.com/gb/en

LIGHTING TECHNOLOGY

activated carbon and molecular filters, allow the system to address pollutants such as volatile organic compounds and vehicle emissions. AirSuite technology

is integrated in the final filtration stage to reduce biological contaminants such as bacteria, mould and mites. Photocatalytic treatment of exhaust air further enhances hygiene by decontaminating recirculated air. A variety of heat

recovery options are

available, including rotary, counter-flow and twin coil exchangers. The system uses brushless EC fan motors and inverters to reduce energy consumption and noise. It also includes integrated digital control systems with remote monitoring and building management system compatibility. Units are delivered pre- wired and tested, with support available through Klima-Therm’s service

network. ■ klima-therm.co.uk

Designed for use in educational settings, the College 2 from THORN LIGHTING is a new luminaire that succeeds the company’s earlier College models. College 2 incorporates updated lighting technology, expanded functionality and improved energy performance. It is manufactured at Thorn’s facility in Spennymoor, north- east England. College 2 features a single LED light engine, a Bi-Lens Primary optic, and a Quad Linear prismatic diffuser. This configuration is designed to deliver low-glare diffused lighting (UGR <19), with 14% upward light output to support balanced ambient illumination. The luminaire also offers high cylindrical illuminance to enhance facial visibility, a requirement in classroom and collaborative settings. Engineered for long-term use, the

product is rated for a service life of 100,000 hours (L80) and achieves luminous efficacy of up to 145 lumens per watt. The unit meets the

IP44 protection standard, making it suitable for environments such as laboratories and workshops. A patent- pending hinged gear tray simplifies maintenance.

College 2 supports a number of installation options, including surface mounting, wire suspension, continuous runs and compatibility with BESA boxes. Control system options include DALI-2, Bluetooth, emergency and sensor variants. While primarily intended for classrooms and lecture spaces, the luminaire is also suited to offices, meeting rooms and healthcare facilities that require effective, low-

glare lighting. ■ www.thornlighting.co.uk/CLG2
