EMEX SHOW PREVIEW

Empowering professionals with industry insights

Returning once again to ExCeL London, EMEX – the Net Zero & Energy Management Expo – is the UK’s main event for professionals looking to create a low-carbon, energy-efficient and sustainable future. Taking place on 20 and 21 November 2024, it’s an event not to be missed!

P

romising to provide practical answers to challenging issues, this year's EMEX will focus on three key pillars: solutions,

innovation and implementation. The show prides itself on delivering for its audience and 2024 will include even more free-to-attend features and a lively conference programme.

Learning programme The conference programme, features a diverse array of leading experts and practical case studies from professionals engaged in the implementation of energy efficiency initiatives. Under the leadership of Lord Rupert Redesdale, an influential figure in government sustainability discussions, more than 100 speakers will present various panel discussions, technical sessions, and showcases aimed at providing insights and guidance for attendees looking to advance their net- zero strategies. The four conference areas include:

Energy and Carbon Management Strategy, Sustainability and Net Zero, Built Environment and Transport, and Energy Future and Flexible Networks, ensuring a comprehensive range of topics for participants (see following pages).

accredited training sessions during both days of the event. These sessions include: ● Introduction to Energy Management ISO 50001

Participants will have the opportunity to gain insights and hands- on experience with organisations such as Carbonology, Supply Chain Sustainability School and Triple Point.

Make new connections Also new this year are two distinct mentoring sessions to support professional development in the energy sector. On 20 November, the Institute of

Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) will host a peer- to-peer mentoring session. This event

will connect established professionals with senior IEMA members, providing an opportunity to discuss career challenges and share industry insights. The following day, 21 November, the

Young Energy Professionals (YEP) Forum will conduct a speed mentoring session. This format is designed to offer quick, focused advice for emerging leaders in the energy industry. Both sessions aim to facilitate

valuable networking opportunities and provide expert perspectives on the energy transition. Attendees can register for these mentoring events as part of their visitor pass.

Roundtable discussion The popular Public Sector Roundtable Networking Meetings are a perennial favourite with EMEX visitors. Exclusively for those working in the public sector, these discussion groups are a unique opportunity to shape the future of net zero within small, impactful groups. Table hosts will share their own

experiences and encourage group discussion. The hosts will moderate a small group discussion, sharing their own experiences and providing time for questions. Most tables will run twice, so visitors will have the opportunity to join two tables on each day. Many visitors come to EMEX

each year to grow their professional networks. Whether it’s informal chats or a pre-arranged meeting, having the largest gathering of energy managers in one place means you can make the right connections for the next 12 months over just two days.

The exhibition floor Many of the 100+ exhibiting companies at EMEX are showcasing new and innovative energy-efficient solutions. This is a real opportunity to be amongst the first to see how rapidly developing technology is helping to reach sustainability goals. Whether you’re starting out or looking for the right product for the next step of your journey, visiting the show floor is a must.
