Trident Utilities strengthens team to support continued Net Zero Growth
Blackpool-based Trident Utilities has implemented a series of internal promotions and role changes as the business positions the Net Zero and carbon division for its next phase of growth. Over the past four years, Trident’s Net Zero Energy Solutions team has expanded in line with increasing demand for its services. The continued growth of carbon and Net Zero work is a key strategic priority for the business this year.
As part of these changes, Amelia Ainsworth who joined Trident in December 2021 as a Net Zero analyst has been promoted to Net Zero team manager. In her new role, Amelia will take on additional line management responsibilities and oversee delivery across Net Zero and carbon services. Elena Payne has also been promoted to Senior Net Zero consultant after joining Trident as Net Zero consultant in July 2024. In her new role, she will take on additional responsibility for both product development and service delivery, strengthening the team’s technical capability as it continues to grow. In addition, Akshath Reddy will take on a new role as Commercial Net Zero consultant. He has been with Trident since February 2024. His new role will focus on ensuring clients maximise the commercial benefit from their sustainability and Net Zero journey.
Noel Ferguson, head of Trident’s Net Zero Energy Solutions, said:
“We are incredibly proud to recognise the achievements of Amelia, Elena, and Akshath through these well- deserved promotions and role changes.
“As demand for Net Zero and carbon services continues to grow, strengthening our team and leadership capability is essential. These changes position us strongly to deliver against our ambitious growth targets while continuing to provide high-quality support to our clients.”

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Acbel Polytech, a global provider of advanced power solutions, will participate in Power2Drive Europe 2026, taking place from 23 to 25 June at Messe München, Germany. At the exhibition, Acbel will showcase its latest EV power solutions, including on-board power conversion products for electric vehicles and an EV charging infrastructure solution in partnership with ChargePoint.
As Europe continues to scale electric mobility, the need for efficient vehicle-side power conversion and reliable charging infrastructure is becoming increasingly important. According to the International Energy Agency, electric car sales in Europe reached approximately 4.2 million units in 2025, accounting for roughly one in every three new cars sold. Public charging infrastructure also continued to expand, with around 260,000 new public charging points added during the year, representing approximately 20% year-on-year growth.
Against this market backdrop, Acbel’s participation in Power2Drive Europe reflects its continued effort to expand its role in the global EV power ecosystem. By presenting both on-board power conversion products and charging infrastructure solutions, Acbel aims to demonstrate its ability to support e-mobility applications across both vehicle- side power systems and charging infrastructure.
“Europe is one of the world’s key markets for electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, and it is an important region for Acbel’s international EV business development,” said Sven Lee, Vice President of Power and Energy Solutions Business at Acbel. “Through co-development programs with automakers in the United States and Japan, as well as with leading international charging infrastructure companies, Acbel has built a strong foundation in EV power applications. Our participation in Power2Drive Europe is an important step in bringing these capabilities closer to the European market. We look forward to supporting vehicle manufacturers, charging equipment providers and charge point operators with reliable, efficient and scalable power solutions.”
At the exhibition, Acbel will present its 400V and 800V 2-in-1 Combo series, integrating an 11kW on-board charger (OBC) with vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality and a 3kW DC/DC converter. The solution is designed to address high-efficiency power conversion needs across multiple EV platforms.
Acbel will also exhibit its DC/DC power conversion products, including an 800V

to 48V/12V 6kW dual-output converter and a 400V to 12V 3kW converter. The featured power conversion products are engineered for high efficiency and wide input voltage compatibility, and are developed in accordance with ISO 26262 automotive functional safety requirements. Selected products within the portfolio are also expected to obtain ISO 21434 cybersecurity certification in the third quarter of 2026.
In addition to its vehicle-side power conversion portfolio, Acbel will display an EV charging infrastructure solution in partnership with ChargePoint. The solution highlights Acbel’s expanding capabilities beyond on-board power systems and reinforces its broader approach to supporting EV charging applications and infrastructure development.
Acbel invites customers, partners and media representatives from Europe and across the global EV, charging infrastructure and energy sectors to visit its booth at Power2Drive Europe 2026. Advance meetings can be arranged for in-depth discussions on Acbel’s latest EV power solutions and charging infrastructure applications. Event Information
