Megan Kay
Megan Kay, Riese & Müller UK Brand Manager
Working closely with the Communications, Sales and Brand Implementation departments, Megan Kay will work from the Manchester metropolitan region and report to the headquarters in Mühltal. The creation of this new position underlines Riese & Müller’s strategy to further strengthen the UK market and expand the brand presence on an international level. “We are delighted that Megan Kay is joining our Communications team. Her extensive expertise in brand management and her international experience will help to further expand Riese & Müller’s brand awareness and positioning in the UK,” said Jörg Matheis, Chief Communication Officer at Riese & Müller. Megan has more than 10 years of
experience in brand management and marketing. After completing her degree in Communications and Promotion, she completed further training in marketing. Her career to date has included various positions in international companies, including at La Marzocco and brand manager at Dr. Oetker.
Thomas Weiss
Thomas Weiss, 7mesh Strategy Consultant
7mesh has announced the addition of Thomas Weiss as strategy consultant for Europe, primarily focusing on the GAS (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region.
With extensive experience in the
cycling and outdoor industry, Weiss brings over three decades of expertise in global brand, category, and product management. From 1998 to 2019, Weiss played
a key role at Gorewear, specialising in cycling, running, and light & fast outdoor activities, helping drive long- term growth and profitability. From 2020 to 2024, Weiss worked with Spectre Garment Manufacturing. “Expanding 7mesh’s presence in Europe is a key long-term focus for us, and Thomas Wiess brings the expertise and leadership to make a real impact in the GAS region,” said Andrew Sherry, 7mesh VP of sales. “His deep industry knowledge, strategic mindset, and passion for innovation align perfectly with our brand values. We’re excited to have him on board to help drive long- term success in this critical market.”
Trudy Harrison Trudy Harrison, Bikeability Chair
Former government minister Trudy Harrison has been appointed as Chair of The Bikeability Trust, bringing her extensive experience in transport policy and public service to the UK’s national cycle training programme. Harrison, previously the Member of
Parliament for Copeland, served as a Minister for the Environment and as Minister for Transport responsible for active travel during the establishment of Active Travel England. She has long been an advocate for cycling, walking and wheeling, and has played a key role in shaping policies designed to increase active travel participation nationally. Harrison also taught Bikeability as a school governor.
“Enabling more people to walk, wheel and cycle safely has been a major focus throughout my career, and I am delighted to take on the role as chair at The Bikeability Trust. Supporting children and families to develop the confidence to cycle is critical in creating a healthier future for Britain. Bikeability has done incredible work delivering high-quality cycle training, and I look forward to helping drive this vital work forward,” said Trudy.
