EDITORIAL LOOKING TOWARD THE FUTURE

I can’t really put into words how important the April issue of the magazine is to me, especially because I want to make sure I do things in the right way. I’m so grateful for the input of everyone who shared their experiences, insights and thoughts. It’s incredible what can be accomplished from small beginnings. It never ceases to amaze me how certain people become a catalyst for change. The April issue is our diversity issue. It’s filled with opinion and insight regarding different

areas of diversity in the cycling industry, exploring ways we might look to do things differently, not that there’s anything wrong with what we’re doing, but there’s always room for improvement. For me, it’s a privilege to be in the position to share our platform and read about events, initiatives, and programmes that are happening. What’s more incredible are the people behind them and the things they are doing to help others get involved in cycling. I’m sure we can all agree that bikes are pretty wonderful. It doesn’t matter why you ride, how often, or even what bike (I’m also sure many of us will be lucky enough to have a few, n+1, right?). Many of us exist in this space to share that love of bikes, be it with friends, family, random strangers, or anyone who might listen. The point, if there is one, is that doing small tangible things makes a difference. Broadening our horizons, looking outside of our space for inspiration and communicating with each other are all useful tools for growth. More people on bikes can only be a good thing, right? So, here’s to the people included in this issue. Thank you for everything you do to make our industry an even more wonderful place to be.
