nna Hollinrake is an accomplished artist within the UK games industry, and has been on a meteoric rise within the last ten years, accumulating credits on games like Lola and the Giant, Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion and Fall Guys along the way. She even, at one point, worked on a CBBC TV show called Love Monster as its art director. The illustrator and game designer is also a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit, a Game Dev Hero, and made it into the ranks of the illustrious MCV/DEVELOP 30 Under 30. gameplay and punky style, and Anna has graciously taken time out of her busy schedule to have a chat with me about it.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE CRESCENT COUNTY TO ME, IF YOU WERE TO GIVE ME THE ELEVATOR PITCH?
If I was to describe it to someone who I’d expect to have seen Kiki’s Delivery Service, I’d really come straight at them with Kiki’s Delivery Service meets Crazy Taxi with the bikes of the Akira. All set to crunchy indie rock and steeped in early noughties chunky tech. If I wasn’t describing it as Kiki’s Delivery Service with punk witches, I’d say a motorbroom delivery game with life-sim elements. You’re making deliveries
