Second star to the right, and straight on 'til GDC

ello again! I’m back. Well, actually, I’ve been back on a part-time basis for a while behind the scenes, helping out on events like Women in Games, and on extra initiatives like the 30 Under 30, since about July. Anyway, I’m in the 

You might’ve gotten the impression from the previous issue that MCV/DEVELOP was perhaps at risk of “being taken to a farm up in the countryside for a long holiday”, but I’d just like to take this chance to assure you all that is not the case, and that I expect for us to be around for a long while yet. A word I’ve heard thrown around a lot since I rejoined the team is “revitalisation”, and I think we’re getting to that “revitalised” point quickly, if we’re not there already.

While I have this chance, I’d also just like to thank my predecessor Richie for bringing me onto the team a couple of years ago. Without him I doubt I’d be here writing this, and I will always be grateful for the opportunities he has provided me with in my career. I’d also like to thank Colin, Chris, Alex, Steve, Eleanor, Paul and Vanessa, as well as all of my friends and colleagues in PR, our media partners and our sponsors for supporting MCV/DEVELOP in the past, present and future.

Okay — that’s enough heartfelt sincerity — let’s get on with the magazine! Vince Pavey
