since we have been considering plans for a new entry since 2018. However, a major turning point was the release of the PlayStation 5 in 2020. The DYNASTY WARRIORS series has a history of progressing along with the evolution of PlayStation, and we have always aimed to create a one-of-a-kind game that can only be played in that era. We thought that now was the time we could create something closer to the game we had dreamed of since DYNASTY WARRIORS 2, and thus DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS was born.
What was your reasoning behind dropping the number 10 from the title? This is because this game has evolved differently from

the most recent numbered titles and has many different elements. From my point of view, having been part of the development consecutively up to DYNASTY WARRIORS 6, this title only has “DYNASTY WARRIORS,” but the series has a long history, and it is also true that what fans want and what elements they enjoy are becoming more diverse. By not giving the title a number, I hope that all fans of the series will hear about or want to find out more about this game. We also hope that by not having a number, it will be easier for new fans to get into the series.
DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS only covers the first half of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel. Why is that? It is to provide a more thorough telling and deeper experience of the story.
