Mecatherm appoints Nogael as head of North America

Raymond Nogael, Vice-President Marketing and Business Development of the TMG group has been entrusted with the management of MECATHERM North America with immediate effect. MECATHERM has been part of the TMG group since 2018. Raymond Nogael has worked within the group for the past eight years and assumes the function of President of MECATHERM North America in addition to his current position. In this context, he oversees the development of MECATHERM in the United States, which has had an office in Atlanta since 2019, and in Canada where an office in Toronto will soon be opened. Raymond Nogael will be based in Toronto and will report directly to Olivier Sergent, President of TMG. Raymond Nogael said “It is an honour to lead MECATHERM North America as we seek to accelerate our business in this region. The success and experience of our customers and partners are at the heart of everything we do. Our entire team is committed to providing solutions and services to the bakery industries we serve. I’m optimistic about what we’re going to achieve in the United States and Canada.”

Prior to joining Reading Bakery Systems, Stringer held positions in technical operations for Nature’s Bakery, process development at Pharmative, as well as a research associate for the U.S. Department of Energy.


He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama and an MBA from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri as well as certifications in pharmaceuticals and lean manufacturing.


Pladis appoints new MD for Western Europe


Snacking company, pladis, has appointed Tim Brett as Managing Director of Western Europe and Emerging Markets. This comes following the decision to combine Western Europe and Emerging Markets into one region in order to maximise on shared opportunities and grow pladis’ presence in new and emerging markets.


Tim joins the team to help pladis identify growth opportunities and reach untapped potential across the regions. He has over three decades of FMCG experience across international markets, having lived and worked in the UK, Romania, Hungary,


Poland, and Japan, among others. He joins pladis from The Coca- Cola Company, where he spent nearly four years as President of the Western Europe Business Unit – an organisation spanning 14 countries and over 650 employees. Prior to this, he worked for the Guinness Group/United Distillers and Walkers Snack Foods (PepsiCo).


As part of this realignment, Suryakant Pandey will assume responsibility for pladis’ new Middle East, North Africa and India region.
