ADVERTORIAL

WAFER HC LINE: DESIGNED FOR CONSISTENT, HIGH-CAPACITY WAFER PRODUCTION

The SWAKT-HC wafer production line combines high-speed baking, precise process control and reliable downstream handling to deliver consistently high-quality wafer products at industrial scale.

I

n industrial wafer production, performance is measured by consistent product quality, stable processes, and maximum uptime—at

the lowest possible cost per kilogram. As volumes grow, manufacturers need equipment that scales efficiently yet without compromising on quality and consistency. The SWAKT-HC flat wafer production line is built exactly for these high-demand conditions. At the heart of the line, the Franz Haas

SWAKT-HC wafer baking oven delivers the output modern wafer plants depend on. With the most sold SWAKT-HC oven with 160 baking plate pairs, it reaches 80 wafer sheets per minute and supports a total line capacity of up to 1,600 kg per hour of finished wafer product. The result is an unbeatable combination of high throughput and process stability - helping to increase capacity, optimise footprint and improve profitability. High output only pays off when every

sheet rigorously meets specification. That is why the SWAKT-HC flat wafer oven is engineered for exceptional baking consistency at highest production speeds. Self-supporting baking plates with precise center adjustment enable reproducible settings and constant wafer sheet thickness. Together with adjustable burners, the oven achieves uniform heat distribution for consistently high sheet quality and reliable downstream processing. For high-output applications, the 350  730 mm baking plate format supports efficient production; optional chrome plating can extend cleaning intervals and further increase uptime. A unique feature to the SWAKT-HC oven

is the vacuum take-off drum for wafer sheet removal after baking. It enables gentle, controlled take-off at highest baking speeds.

26 • KENNEDY’S BAKERY PRODUCTION • APRIL/MAY 2026 THE RESULT IS AN

UNBEATABLE COMBINATION OF HIGH THROUGHPUT AND PROCESS STABILITY - HELPING TO INCREASE CAPACITY, OPTIMISE

FOOTPRINT AND IMPROVE PROFITABILITY

Compared with conventional take-off star systems, which can become a bottleneck at speeds above 60 to 65 sheets per minute, the vacuum take-off ensures gentle, stress- free handling of wafer sheets and thus continuously high productivity. Designed for 24/7 production, the

SWAKT-HC oven helps you protect output with fast, straightforward maintenance and high availability. The modular, rigid frame offers excellent access via horizontally opening side doors, a retractable hood, and rear service doors. Baking plates can be removed without opening the chain, reducing service time and minimising downtime. Integrated monitoring functions, such as dedicated plate locking and opening monitoring, further support reliable operation and lower lifecycle maintenance effort. However, high-speed baking is only

part of the equation. The downstream equipment must keep pace, especially during film spreading, which, alongside the oven, has a major impact on overall line efficiency. That is why the Wafer HC Line pairs the high-speed oven with the high- capacity FSTM-HC film spreading machine. Its patented high-capacity book-building station, featuring unique vacuum stacking without using any stoppers, enables high speeds while maintaining excellent hygiene and precise, consistent book building. The SWAKT-HC high-capacity wafer line is

designed for industrial wafer manufacturers requiring high throughput at consistently high wafer quality and proven reliability. Instead of maximising isolated performance values, the line is engineered for process stability and repeatability throughout the full production process - from baking through downstream handling all the way to packaging infeed.
