COMMENT
H
ello readers and welcome to our October issue, the first issue of Factory & Handling Solutions.
Hopefully you have been reading closely over the last few issues as I’ve been talking about our relaunch and the bringing together of our titles Factory Equipment and Materials Handling & Logistics into our new title Factory & Handling Solutions.
At our heart we are still the same, the same content, case studies, product developments and the latest news, but with a fresh new design, new size and new website.
I’m writing this fresh on my return from spending three days at IMHX. A tiring few days I’m sure you will all agree, but arguably one of the most productive shows we have been to, and a lovely reminder of how brilliant and kind you all are as an industry. We have many challenges that we will face over the coming months, with Brexit still scheduled for October 31st, who knows what I will be writing about that in my November comment. Legislation and regulations will continue to evolve and change I am sure, and we will work to keep you regularly updated in these pages.
I thought I would take the opportunity to share with you the photos below, on the left you will see myself, advertisement manager Charlie Curd and classified sales executive Hannah Moody at our publishing group awards where we picked up Publication of the Year and Online Sales of the Year, which I am so proud of them for! In the second photo you see myself and Hannah after we took on the Chuck picking challange at the 6 River Systems stand at IMHX, where we had a blast. For now, I want to thank you, our readers, for all your support over the 70 years this magazine has been going. We hope that you will join us on our new exciting chapter, as Factory & Handling Solutions.
