AirBench BD is a self-contained blowdown station for the removal of coolant and swarf from machined parts. An operator can simply place parts in the cabinet, lower the screen, and use the integral blow gun to clean parts using factory compressed air. An integral venturi system assists with capture of coolant and the filter system in the base of the unit is easily replaced when full. The new model 1000mm wide BD1000 joins the existing 500mm wide BD500 and is designed for
longer components. Both models run solely from factory air supplies with no requirement for electrical connections – making them ideal for location next to machine tools for regular operator use. Komatsu takes on extra-wide mobile yard ramp
Marubeni Komatsu, the UK supplier of Komatsu construction, mining, quarrying and utility equipment, has experienced significant success with its recent purchase of a bespoke, extra-wide mobile yard ramp, designed by Thorworld Industries and supplied through Loading Bay Service. Marubeni Komatsu was looking for a safer
and more efficient unloading process for its warehouse facility. “We’re absolutely committed to providing our customers with the best solutions to their problems, and use this ethos in our own business operations,” William Dowling, health and safety manager at Marubeni Komatsu explains. Manufactured in Italy and delivered to Komatsu’s Padgets Lane, Redditch site, five and eight tonne
vehicles, typically excavators, are brought to the UK on the back of flatbed wagons, with between three and five machines delivered within each consignment. Historically, Komatsu’s UK team used a warehouse ramp to enable vehicles to be brought into the operation’s premise.
