ROIDMI’s RS60. Inset: Its new Nano P1 Pro
Indeed, Hoover’s lightest and most compact
cordless cleaner ever (at just 69cm tall in storage mode), the H-FREE 500 has a removable Li-Ion battery offering three power levels and a runtime of up to 40 minutes. But 2020 saw the introduction of the brand’s
H-HANDY 700 – a small vacuum which packs a punch. Stored within its charging dock and designed for on-the-spot cleaning, this handheld wonder weighs only 640g and has a powerful brushless motor, LED lights and EPA Filters for optimal air filtration. Or what about ROIDMI’s latest handheld
“Stronger, continued demand for cordless
vacuums will prevail in 2021,” he goes on, “as consumers opt for products that are easy to use. Consumer demand for no-fuss solutions increased
in 2020 and we’ve met these in a number of ways, including removable batteries, on-board accessories and compact models that can be stored in standard height cupboards, such as the H-FREE 500.”
The Queen of Clean
Lynsey Crombie, TV’s Queen of Clean, is a bestselling author, blogger and Instagram influencer who shares her cleaning tips and home hacks. She recently partnered with Swan and was the face of its TV campaign as it launched into the floorcare category
During lockdown this year and last year, cleaning has become something we do when we are desperate to pass the time! Cupboards have been de-cluttered and houses have been cleaned from top to bottom. Homes have never been so organised! Living in a much more clean and tidy space
has helped many people’s mental health and cleaning has been a saviour for so many; it has given them purpose, occupied their minds and given them more structure to their day. With homes taking a battering this past year,
carpet cleaning has been huge. I don’t think many people were concerned about their carpets before – an annual professional clean or hired machine was the general go-to. But this pattern has now changed with people making investments in their own carpet cleaners.
For quick, daily cleans a cordless vacuum
with good suction is a must, followed by a quick wipe over with a flat headed mop and disinfectant. But for those deeper cleans when time
allows, a more powerful vacuum is required to really go deep into carpets and I find corded still gives that deep-clean feeling. In the future I think there will be more
integrated home cleaning systems that will steam, vacuum and mop with a whole host of accessories for windows and mattresses etc – a full home cleaning system that does everything and is also easy to store. A lot of the wet and dry vacuums are left
with a vile smell even after cleaning! And sometimes don’t even clean well – none have passed my white sock test!

vacuum, the new Nano P1 Pro? It’s a powerful, portable cleaner for use around the home, in the car or other small spaces. Although small in size the P1 Pro’s brushless digital motor creates a suction powerful enough to pick up hairs, dust, debris and allergens from even the hardest to reach areas such as keyboards, blinds, beds and car seats.
