The ERT Awards is back for 2020, bringing together retailers and suppliers to recognise excellence across the electrical retail industry!

During these difficult and 6

unprecedented times, it is vital that we take a moment to reflect on the positive. And now is the time to join together and get involved. Taking place on Monday 5 October at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London’s Covent Garden, Turning Point Live! will return once again to shine a light on best practice in the electrical retail sector. The prestigious ERT Awards will take place in the afternoon after a drinks reception and networking lunch.

What are the categories?

This year’s categories are remaining the same as the 2019 event to cover the whole spectrum of the industry.

For retailers:

Best Independent Domestic Appliance Retailer – Small Best Independent Domestic Appliances Retailer – Large Best Independent Consumer Electronics Retailer – Small Best Independent Consumer Electronics Retailer – Large Turning Point Award

Entries are now open for this

year’s ERT Awards – so get writing and tell us why your store or your product should win!

How do I enter?

You can enter online in three simple steps. Simply head to www.ertawards.co.uk. Follow the ‘CLICK HERE’ button on the home page, select your category (or you can select multiple categories at the time of entering), supply your supporting information and media, and add your contact details.

For retailers – it’s important you write a great entry statement and provide any additional relevant information, such as your background, about your business and shopfloor, your digital platforms, your staff or your customer service. All this goes in front of our expert judging panel, so make it hard-hitting and concise! For manufacturers – provide as much information as you can about your products and services, or about your team members if it’s the Independent Sales Representative Award, but remember that retailers may be quite familiar with you and your brand so don’t go too mad! There’s plenty of help and advice, and more detailed information on the judging criteria for each of the award categories, on the ERT Awards website: www.ertawards.co.uk.

Best Independent Electrical Retailer Website Sales Excellence Award For manufacturers: Best New Product – Major Domestic Appliances Best New Product – Small Domestic Appliances Best New Product – Consumer Electronics Training Provider Award Independent Sales Representative Award Best Supplier Customer Service

The retailer categories will be judged solely by this year’s judges, while the manufacturer categories are voted for by retailers using a dedicated online platform via the ERT Awards website. So manufacturers, now is the time to engage with your retail partners more than ever to encourage more votes for you! By surveying the responses of ERT readers via this online platform, we will be able to get a definitive answer on who the best suppliers are, which new products have caught their imagination and which sales reps are really going the extra mile.

The entry process is open now! The winners will be announced on Monday 5 October at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London. The ERT Awards and Turning Point Live! are organised by ERT magazine (part of PM Group Worldwide), the leading business title for the electrical retail sector, which has been published for an incredible 129 years! Remember, keep an eye out on the ERT website – www.ertonline.co.uk – and ERT’s Twitter – @ERTonline – for more information and all the latest updates.
