A ‘VICTORY FOR COMPETITION’ Last year the US Department of Commerce imposed a tariff on the back of a dispute which involved Boeing complaining that Bombardier had received unfair state subsidies from the UK and Canada, helping it secure a major order. It was placed on the import of Bombardier's C-Series jet, the wings of which are made in Belfast. However, the US International Trade Commission has dismissed the case. "Today's decision (30 January) is a

IRISH MANUFACTURING GOES BI-MONTHLY

At a time when many trade magazines are ceasing publication as printed media, Irish Manufacturing is going from strength to strength as a increasing number of businesses want to advertise their products and services on its pages. In response to the growing

interest in the publication and feedback from readers and advertisers, we are delighted to announce that issue numbers will increase from four to six per year. In addition to the features you

As such, our focus on the food & beverage industry will now be published twice a year and the oil & gas sector will be highlighted once a year, along with chemical & pharmaceutical, packaging and medical equipment & devices. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our readers and advertisers for their ongoing support of the magazine. The next issue will be April/May

with a new editor at the helm and we are confident that Irish Manufacturing will develop even further alongside the growth of business across both northern and southern Ireland. It will continue to publish practical application case studies and the latest news both in print and online to equip key decision-makers with a broad view of technological developments, along with industry comment.
